Bones Music - What song was that in that episode you love?

A frequently searched topic for Bones is music and the "What was that song?" question. Nearly every episode has an obscure song that sends fans scrambling to figure out where to find it or even what it was. The Official Bones website will give you most of the information but it appears to be incomplete. If that list doesn't answer your Bones music question there are a variety of other places you can look.

Tunefind
This site has a much more complete list, by all appearances. However, it's strictly maintained by user submissions so you have to take it with a grain of salt.
TVShowSongs
This site links many songs directly to ITunes downloads and may soon do the same for Amazon downloads. I think it falls somewhere between the official site and the Tunefind site for accuracy and completeness.
Have-Dog.com - (thanks to Anonymous)
This site has a beautiful organization! I love it. I can't personally vouch for it's completeness as I'm not yet an expert on Bones music but it looks great and would definitely be a great resource to check when you need information on Bones music.
Adtunes - (thanks to L)
If you can't find the answer on any of the other sites, try here. You can post on the forums and ask for help!

If you have any legal sites you want to submit I'll check them out and maybe add them to the list. (Please no bittorent or other download sites...What you do is your own business but I don't want to get in trouble with the bulldog record companies for promoting downloading.)

The AdTunes.com forums are very helpful, and once a song is identified someone usually links to iTunes so people can buy it.

Found another one that might be useful - again looks to be user maintained but could be helpful

Check Fox's own wiki on Bones for all the previous seasons' music - those are mostly complete.
@Anonymous: That particular song from the end of "Two Bodies in the Lab" is by Depeche Mode - 'A Pain That I'm Used To'.

Anyone know the nae of the song that was credited to Noddy Comet near the end of Mayhem on the Cross?

It's Blue Shoes by Better (source: official site), you can hear it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_gucnRIBSA (1:46 is the clip used on the show). Lovely song. And I also liked God of Anger by Droid although it's not the kind of music I'd usually listen.

Okay that was stupid of me. It's Better by Blue Shoes, not Blue Shoes by Better >.>

Ive looked everywhere for a song on the season finale the end in the beginning when bone's dad is burning the fbi agent at the end, it sounds like a song by the smashing pumpkins and has a piano in it and he's singing "never let you go" i think, it doesnt seem to be listed anywhere! :(

Non - Do you mean a song from the Season 4 finale 'End in the Beginning' or Season 2 'Judas on a Pole', which is where Brennan's dad burns the FBI agent? In 'Judas' they play 'Sea Lion' by Sage Francis at the beginning and and 'Running up that Hill' by Placebo at the end.

Need some help please, with season 4 of bones the end credits music changes from the Bones Theme (by the crystal method) - what is this new music??? It's haunting & now it's haunting me as I can't find it, Shazam said it was the Catherdral of the Sky by Rick Wakeman but that's not it. Help please...

Anonymous said...

So it turns out the music during the credits (season 4 & beyond) is also not "I am a stranger in the earth" by godkiller; so far Shazam is 2 for 2 (also not Rick Wakeman). I will find this song... I am on a mission now.

Peace, Michelle

Song when Brennan is examining the bones just before she gets shot on Feb 11th episode. I think some of the lyrics go "because I've told you many times how I think about you every day".
