In the interest of space, I had to limit the answers, but there is a new poll on the right side asking:

Wow. A LOT of people voted! I really liked them all equally but all for different reasons.

As far as what I'm looking forward to in season 4, I would have to say a combination of three things: 1)continuing to develop the Booth and Brennan relationship (not romance - there's a lot more to relationship than romance and I, though I know I'm out voted, believe they still have a ways to go); 2) some interesting cases particularly, and hopefully, a resolution to the Gravedigger; and 3) the exploration into Booth's family (seeing as we know so much about Brennan's, it will be nice to see some of his and I feel there could be some very interesting story lines there).

While I would love to see something more come of the Zach storyline, I just don't know if it can be done in such a way that will be semi-believable given where they left things and yet satisfying. It is a dilemma that the writers just may not want to or be able to tackle.

Just my opinion.

Yeah, I second trish's opinion in all points.
Of course I want to see the Booth/Brennan relationship evolving. But Bones wouldn't even be half as good without good cases and all the other loveable characters. I want the Gravedigger-case to be resolved.
I can't wait to see Booths family.
And I'm not sure if I want to see that much of Zack, beacuse I doubt that they can explain everything to my satisfaction.

I'm with Trish and Cordy. I'm really looking forward to a season of surprises and unexpected events because that's what makes 'Bones' so special for me. It has never been predictable, and its unique mix of drama and comedy, the character interactions and -last but not least- the interesting cases and the fascinating science have me come back for more every week.

What trish said :)

The main thing for me will always be Booth and Brennan's relationship ... possibly romance in the future, but it's not the most important part. As long as the relationship is done WELL, I don't really mind which way it goes.

The thing I really want to see wasn't on the list ... more Booth-related storylines. I know, I know, all the storylines involve Booth ... but he's losing his depth as a character.

Early Booth had a much darker side to him ... his past as a sniper, his lack of access to his son etc etc. I’d really like more exploration of his character … including the fact that he’s a bit of a loner (we only ever saw him at the bar on his own, and his only real friends are the squints). Like others, I would love to see more of his family (esp Parker), although the one character I’d really like to see is unlikely to happen … a younger sister. I can see it now – they’d squabble and fight (a bit like Booth and Brennan), but still be very close. It could help explain Booth’s respect and protective nature towards women (including threatening to shoot Hodgins and/or Sweets if they try to hit on her). She could even be the Gravedigger’s next victim, just to really crank up the Booth-angst.

I just think there’s been a real move recently for Booth to be the comedic element of the show. Yes, DB is great at the comedy, but, as the shooting scene in tWitW showed, he’s also amazing at the dramatic moments.

You know what I’d also really like to see? Booth taking Hodgins out to drown his sorrows over Angela. THAT would be fun!

p.s. I also agree about Zack. I think we need some more explanation, but now what's done is done, I'd really rather just move on.

I don't think you're out voted trish! I believe they still have a ways to go too. I think they already have bucket loads of romance right now, although it might not be the kind of romance some people want to see. I'm looking forward to watching them get closer over the next season.

I'm curious to see how the writers are going to address the Zack issue. I guess I've come to terms with it in my own head, so it's not that big of an issue to me anymore. That's not to say I won't miss him, though. :(

I'm looking forward to the team going after the Gravedigger again, but I wonder if it can possibly be as good as "Aliens" was.

Like Louise, I would like to re-visit Dark!Booth. I want to see more of the troubled man inside. And I don't think that I want Brennan and Booth to be 'officially involved' just yet - I am enjoying the little hints and 'side effects' way too much, like when Max actually treats Booth more like a son-in-law than an FBI agent. I love those scenes!

I'm really trying to keep an open mind on the whole Zack story, so I won't be disappointed however they decide to resolve this. But I've also accepted the events of PitH as a 'TV reality' and I'm ready to move on.

I voted for the B/B relationship obviously but I'd really like to see everything: Gravedigger, a solution to the Zack predicament (I still have faith the writers will solve this in a fitting way), Booth's family and Dark Booth would be great! (Ha. That makes him sound like a separate character and very comic book-y!)

I think I've said before, maybe Brennan could rescue Booth from the Gravedigger this time! Or they both get captured and get a little near-death alone-time together and the prospect of a smoochie situation!! ;)
Ok,imagination taking over again - I doubt Booth would ever let that happen and the latter idea is too cliche I think. Though I can't help but love those moments where the obvious couple get locked in a room or something and their true feelings are revealed...

Back to the point, more interesting cases and science would be good too - I love those bits and I actually end up learning something! Who says Tv can't be both entertaining and educational!

Wow. I seriously thought I was in the minority. It's nice to know someone else thinks/feels the same way. Knew there was a reason I loved this site. :)

I'm with Louise on the earlier characterization of Booth. While I love the progression, particularly with Brennan and the squints, there is still that darker side to him, something he'll never loose. Exploring that side would make for some great television and certainly tap into the depth of David's talent, that dramatic side that Louise mentioned.

The whole idea of Booth having a "little sister" is something I have always envisioned as well. Though maybe not a biological sister but someone Booth "adopted" into his heart in that role because as he said "there's more than one kind of family."

Hulu.com has a new Bones banner... minus Zack. How sad is that? :(
