Linky Bits

I spent a lot of this weekend in a news-less cave of either relaxation or work. Here are a few things I never posted, nor even read until today.

David Boreanaz & The Green Lantern
DB voices Hal Jordan in a an animated version of the comic, released earlier this year, and his name has been floated for some time now as one of the possible, leading, maybe contenders for the live action role. Here's the latest gossip from that front, from the Coventry Telegraph blog.

Underrated Bones
It's something we all know well, but it's nice to see it mentioned. Bones is very underrated! Check out this Starpulse list, where Bones comes in on the top 5 underrated shows.

It's true - how many times have you asked around for others who watch Bones and found no one? Solution? Convert them all!

Comcast Promotional Video
Louise told us about the special video promo available only to Comcast On-Demand viewers, and in the process found of looking for an online version, she found this new London video. In it, you can see things not seen in any of the other promotional videos as well as much more of the much discussed double-decker bus scene we did not get to see.
*Note* I can only get it to work in Internet Explorer. No-go with Firefox.

David Boreanaz Q&A
Last week we got to read Mandi Bierly's fantastic pop culture Q&A with David Boreanaz. Here's a different, but still fun, short interview with Parade magazine. It starts out with the same questions the poor guy must have be able to answer in his sleep, but I like the final question:

Q: Were you always a hunk?

A: Not in grade school growing up. I had my shortcomings — crazy hair, braces, bad skin and all that stuff. I went through it all.
New Fox Promo, with a dash of Bones
I hope this doesn't mean we're back to Bones being the red-headed stepchild of Fox. Here's the latest Fox fall lineup promo and it features (hard to even use that word) the briefest, barest shot of Booth and Brennan with the words "Arresting." Could we please can the 4th and 5th House and Prison Break references, and give Bones a little more love?

'Crazy hair, braces, bad skin' David had Braces!! I find that soooo difficult to believe!

Oooh yes! Please, please, please more action scenes! I love it when someone gets their butt kicked - my heart rate doubled in every Angel fight scene. So: more fighting! It's time DB put his training to use again!

The London vid 'is currently unavailable'! :(

That's soo true about Bones being underrated! It's like it has a huge, but secret underground fanbase. I've tried to get friends watching it but no luck so far! We might need to resort to more aggressive tactics - brainwashing maybe? :D

The Green Lantern was sooo inspired by David - he has his hair! I don't read comics but David has a really sexy voice - very superhero material!

It works...but only in Internet Explorer. I forgot to point that out.

I don't know if there are any country restrictions on Comcast's site, like Hulu and the like.

: the promo vid. Not much Bones, as you say. However there is another quick shot of David & Emily at the 34 second mark that kinda cute with her pushing him away. :D Gratuitous touching = love.

I'm sorry. I blinked the first time I watched and totally missed it! I remember the guy before, but they also put two guys in suits back to back, so they sort of blend together. I still had to watch the scene twice to really see it.

so what day is Bones on?

that promo doesn't do them justice at all, it doesn't even say that it's on Wednesday nights.

and yea. Bones is totally underrated, but i'm proud to say I converted two of my friends. :D

How'd you do that Jojo? I need tips!

Anyone else outraged they didn't use Booth/Brennan on "So Sexy?"

Amen to Bones being underrated! Like the blurb said, I've never met anybody that watches (outside of cyberspace that is). I've tried unsuccessfully to convert people, including my husband.

Someone on the TV.com forum said they show "Aliens in a Spaceship" to non-fans and have converted a few. You don't really need much background to get into that ep. I'll have to try it!

Yeah, I'm with Shep. More fighting is always a good thing. The fighting is probably the main reason I watched Angel (even though I only did so casually, but that's why).

Also, add me to those who can't seem to convert anybody. I sometimes get my brother to watch, but alas, no great interest has sparked.
