January Scheduling - The First Episode Revealed

We've already heard from Fox that next Wednesday's Bones is the last new Bones episode we will see until the 2009 return, on the new Thursday timeslot, on January 15th.

Now, Ausiello spills which episode will be the first we see on return:

The Hero in the Hold
(Don't click the link if you don't know what it's about.)

That does mean that they are skipping a couple of episodes to jump into a very exciting one. The production order looks more like this:
Double Trouble in the Panhandle
The Fire in the Ice
The Hero in the Hold
What do you think? Wish we were seeing them in order? Don't care because you're really looking forward to "Hero?"

Oourse IM very excited about the Hero in the Hold. But Panhandle and Fire also seem to be very interesting episodes. So I'd rather see them in the correct order.

I'd rather see them in the correct order too, because any outcomes arising from Hero now won't show - if there are any, of course. Maybe it doesn't matter...

I'm really looking forward to Panhandle, so if that had been the first episode back, that would have been fine too.

And Fire in the Ice looks good too, so... basically, I'm repeating exactly what cordy said, except in a far more long-winded way, lol.

No offense to Mike A. but what does he know about Fox scheduling? Lol. He has read the same Hart interview we have all read, stating that Hero was to be in Jan. The same interview that said that Double Trouble and Fire were to be aired in Dec - which isn't going to happen. Perotta is introduced in the Fire epi, they couldn't then show her second epi Hero without showing her first epi - it is just crazy! My advice, just wait until the epi descriptions get released by Fox.

Man, they are scrambling this season to pieces! I wish they wouldn't... At least Wendy's production order list will help us rewatch them in seqeunce.
Still, I am very excited to see Hero.

anon has a very good point ... Perotta is definitely introduced in Fire, but also appears in Hero - so now I really hope they show those two eps in the right order!

Having said that, I'm looking forward to all three of these eps, so apart from any inconsistency issues, I don't mind too much. Either way, I'm in Hawaii on the 15th Jan, so will have to rely on my DVR (I know, it's a hardship)

Yeah, I'm late to this one but I agree with Louise: they really should air Fire before Hero because otherwise? It's gonna be weird seeing them meet for the first time...after they've worked together already.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Ausiello was playing the deduction game again, divining things out of old interviews. When Hart said that, mind you, we all thought we'd be getting two eps in December. Now we won't.

We'll wait and see, I guess. I know for a fact that NBC changes their airing schedule every other week, so *shrug* who knows?

I agree, whilst I'm eager to see 'Hero', I'd rather they stopped screwing with the order! It would make no sense to see Perotta in 'Hero' and then have her introduced in 'Fire'.

Yea i agree everyone who said that they would like to see it in the right order. It would be weird to see Hero first and then Fire....

Show them in order. We look forward to each and every episode ... it is better when the character development flows. Looking forward to this afternoon's episode.

I'm looking forward to Hero in the Hold, yes, but to the other episodes too. And I'd prefer seeing them in the right order. Not only for Perotta being there a second time and meeting them later on, but because of character relationship, like what we had with Angela and Hodgin in the earlier episodes that were aired out of order.
