Does anyone know where to find/who made the necklace that Angela wears in tonight's episode. It's a gold chain with a crescent moon and a star . It is GORGEOUS and I am OBSESSED with it!

I am soo soo mad that Angela was making out with Roxie. It has become way too soap opera like. I was really mad. I don't have a problem with gays, but this one just bugged me! Very disapointing!
I liked this episode, sadly there werent many Booth and Brennan moments.

CupcakeBean said...

Yay for the Angelator! Does anyone know when the last time they used it was?

CupcakeBean said...

Seriously anonymous? How is Angela kissing a woman any different than her kissing a man? It isn't any more soap opera-like than if she were kissing a ex-boyfriend. And saying "I don't have a problem with gays" sounds like you do.

Stephanie said...

I kind of loved the scenes with Angela and Roxie. I'm glad Michaela's getting a chance to shine. :-) I've always liked her and her character. I ultimately want her with Hodgins, but I have no problem with this new storyline.

I loved that they seemed to use all the characters tonight. I love Booth & Brennan, but the episode was about more than just them, yet they still had their "moment" at the end when talking about Daisy & Sweets. And I agree with Cupcake, YAY for the Angelator!

my DVR cut off when they're talking about sweets&daisy being incompatible, and bones says "sweets bases his life on the vagaries of psychology"... and then it looks like booth is about to say something but it stops. can anyone tell me - did they say anything else????

it was such a cute moment (obvi paralleling booth&bones's relationship) and my DVR does this every week and it makes me so mad.

Anonymous said...

booth says something about how sweets would use some psychology trick to make daisy think it was her idea to quit. but instead what happens is the sweets tells daisy that he has bad and good news. the bad news being that no one likes her and they don't want her to work here and the good news that they don't have to keep their relationship a secret anymore. daisy replies saying she thought sweets was embarrassed by her and sweets responds by kissing her. The others watching are shocked, cam comments how she has never fired anyone that way before. bones and booth talk about how different daisy and sweets are and that every relationship needs common ground. anyway it went something like that.

Anonymous said...

oops srry i just realized i totally misunderstood your question, i don't remember what he says, try watching it online tomorrow

nini said...

anonymous, try setting your DVR to start recording a few minutes early and to end recording a few minutes late as well.

Merv said...

The end convo went like this...

Brennan - For all her faults she's a woman of science. Sweets bases his life on the vagaries of psychology and emotion. *Booth nods in agreement while Brennan continues* There's no common ground.

Booth - *nodding some more* Right

Brennan - You need common ground. *both smiling and nodding in agreement at their assesment while Brennan continues* I mean what else is there?

Booth - *still smiling and nodding replies* Absolutely *both start casting furtive glances at each other while looking slightly less convinced of their argument*

scene turns to Sweets and Daisy exiting the lab....I believe she tentatively pats him on the rearend too. lol

My fave line of the night was Cam's..."Well I programmed my phone to get the five-day forecast." :D

Fave scene goes to Booth and Angela's conversation in the vehicle. I have been missing the more serious talks while Booth does the driving. He reveals more when he's behind the wheel. :D

Anonymous said...

thanks SO much, merv!! :) :)

(I keep trying to set my DVR to record longer so that it doesn't get cut off, but for some reason it refuses to save the changes -- since when does technology have a mind of its own?)

I loved the scene with angela & booth in the car, as well.. and I also liked that all the characters got some decent face time. Overall, I really enjoyed this episode!

Merv said...

No worries :D It was certainly no hardship to rewatch the last scene :D

Also, my DVR only acts up when I try to record 'Angel'. It always cuts off the last minute. Do I smell a technalogical conspiracy? ;)

Anne said...

Just curious but what did you guys think of the promo video??

Stephanie said...

I loved the promo video! I've never had a problem with the Jared/Brennan thing cuz it obviously won't last. I'm excited for the conversation they showed between Brennan, Angela, and Cam about how Brennan's using Jared as her Booth replacement. I'm so glad they're acknowledging that on the show, rather than just leaving it up to fans to assume that that's what Brennan's doing.

I forgot to mention that I also loved the scene tonight with Booth and Angela in the car. Was anyone else expecting Booth to have a bit of a problem with the same-sex couple thing due to his religious beliefs? I was pleasantly surprised when he said he's fine with it.

katjem said...

Cupcakebean - Just a guess the last time they used the Angelator was Season 3 The Intern in the Incinerator.

Anonymous said...

The promo sucked, it is straight out of fan fic. Brennan was acting like a silly immature idiot over a guy she knows for 5min. I really am mad at her. Jared is not even goodlooking. Get a grip woman!

Poetic_line said...

I think the Angela/Roxie kiss was handled extremely well, very tender, very sweet, not raunchy at all.

There wasn't enough B&B sparks for my taste, but I like how she almost lit his butt on fire and I'm rewatching the end trying to figure it out.

It seems that Sweets knows more about himself and how to treat a woman than Booth does.

Booth, take a hint.

Anonymous said...

Not enough BB for me either, but the line 'Excuse me tiny little woman' totally cracked me up.

Hmm, it looks like it could turn out that I'm not so interested in the other characters as I thought. That's bad.

Eli said...

When the other episode summary mentioned that Hodgins will move on ... I said aaaahhhh no Hodgins pls don't.

Now after this episode .... Please Hodgins do move on

Still weeping the tears

Did I not mention I hate Angela

Anonymous said...

Poetic line. . . . . . you are being very unfair. Have you not seen how Booth treats woman with so much care and loyality. And saying Sweets is better than Booth in that way, is insulting. Gee, like the way that everything is Booth's fault, like Brennan hasn't got a mind of her own and think for herself. Not everything is Booth's fault, suppose Brennan acting like a silly girl around Jared, is Booth's fault too, Brennan is blameless!!! gee talk about Booth bashing,

tht was a pretty good episode. the whole Angela thing kinda shocked me, well the kissinig thing at least. i am not really sure what to say about tht yet. i really wish there were more B/B moments, mostly because we have been waiting so long. maybe it was just me, but i didnt really see a good qquality one. except at the end, but tht wasnt much. i guess my expectations flew over my head...or i am reading too much fanfiction. :)
i also thot the story line with daisy and sweets was cute, i would like to see where tht ends up!
and i am still hoping for Hodgela!!
:(

Ahhh ... how come Hodgins did not know about Angela's past after the PI told/mentioned about Roxy

sorry still no over this yet

I'll have to rewatch this episode to give a valid opinion. My first impression was I didn't too much like this episode, although it was entertaining in its own way.

Ragnhild said...

I KNEW it!
Sinse the first minute I saw of Bones (for like three years ago) Ive known that Angela is gay (or bi or whatever you wanna call it) and finally Ive got proof =)

Louise said...

I really liked this episode. Main thoughts...

- Wow, Daisy is annoying (although quite sweet), but I just love the effect she has on Cam and Hodgins. Cam's wide-eyed looks of "please someone - save me!" where hilarious, as were Hodgins' vacant looks of "just kill me now". Great acting from those two.

- Loved seeing more Booth and Angela bonding time, and how flattered she seemed with Booth defending her honour (with creepy artist guy). We need more Booth and Angela scenes!

- Always great to see Caroline, even though it wasn't for very long ... but at least it made sense in the context of the ep

- The Angelator's back! And just as ridiculous as ever!

- Will have to rewatch to pick up all the great lines, but I loved "That was a lie ... I was watching the Real Housewives of Orange County".

- Loved Sweets towards the end, and his no-BS way of telling Daisy she was fired (again), and saying how they've talked about her interpersonal skills. They really are B&B 2.0!

- Could the ending have been any more shippy? Loved it though ... and loved that we got to see that they both have that concern.

Shep said...

Another really good episode. Booth looked really hot in the Angelator scene (yay for the Angelator)! Not much B&B here but the moments that we did get were good - '..you almost lit my butt on fire'

Great seeing Caroline again - she's always fun to watch.

The Angela/Roxie kiss was very sweet and tender and not over-done, which made it even better.

I also think that the conversations between Angela and Sweets were quite deep and insightful and loved the ending with him firing Daisy (boy, she was annoying! But it was funny seeing Cam's frustration and when she dropped the skull even I jumped) and then kissing her. For me the best moment was the B&B ending - it hints they do share some insecurities about their relationship!

Shep said...

I did suspect the 'tiny little woman' from quite early on - but maybe that was because I really didn't like her!

RMF said...

Yuck.

Forced scenes, misfired humor, obvious villain. Start with that opening scene between Angela and Sweets. I guess it was supposed to be some kind of female empowerment bit, with her being bold about her sexuality, but it just came off kind of icky, like being cornered by a drunk at a party. And the comment that she could just jump Hodgins, but it didn't seem fair -- didn't seem fair?. When the guy's been a walking open wound since the beginning of the season, that really isn't a laugh riot.

There's a reason Daisy has only about half a dozen votes in the "which intern" poll. Thanks for the refresher on why. Overplayed, underfunny. The skull breaking was a corny, telegraphed gag. I did like Brennan's reaction, though. You broke it, don't touch it, I'll fix it, get out of my sight.

Okay, someone doesn't like pretentious artists. Kind of an easy target. Kind of convenient, too, that the thoroughly unlikeable "Kabuki ghoul" was the baddie. It would actually have been more interesting if it had been a suicide after all, giving us some truly demented psychology.

Caroline, a great character, wasted on trivialities. I didn't buy for a second that the court would interfere with evidence collection in a possible murder. It was a surreal moment when Brennan poured the beetles on the artwork -- it looked like she was pouring coffee beans on it out of spite.

The Angela-Roxie relationship was a bit underwhelming. Given the way Hanson was talking up the two in interviews, I was expecting Roxie to be, well, interesting. She was just vaguely nice and a bit frail, nothing more. I would have thought that in introducing the character, they'd want to give her more than a wallpaper personality. Their kiss was cute and well acted, though, as opposed to the ickfest at the end.

Speaking of which, Cam would not have had a problem firing Daisy. She's the boss. She would not have had Sweets do it for her. He doesn't even have the authority, anyway. I could see her going to Sweets to stop herself from throttling Daisy, but this was just character-sabotaging nonsense for the sole purpose of setting up the revelation of the Sweets-Daisy relationship at the end. Okay, so Sweets gotta girlfriend. So what? It just means that a borderline annoying character hooks up with a fiercely annoying one, thereby assuring we'll be subjected to the fiercely annoying one for a long time to come.

So is this now The Relationship Show? Booth-Brennan, Hodgins-Angela, Angela-Roxie, Sweets-Daisy, Brennan-Boothlite ad nauseam? The charm of the show has been in the balance between understated romance, adventure, science, and humor. It's threatening to become all shippety ship with science as backdrop.

Bad writer. No cookie.

Anonymous said...

RMF - so don't watch it if you don't like it

Shep said...

Someone's feeling feisty today!

I'm inclined to disagree. In his interview, Hart showed he was fully aware to maintain the balance between character drama and procedural. And we don't know if we'll see much of Daisy in the future - she might just be mentioned in passing, she was fired after all.

And I think the bar scene is an example of how much Angela's free spirit is free spirit-y

Anonymous,

Considering I'm in love with Booth, I'd never bash him.

If I lived on a tv show, I'd take him home with me.

I'm just a little annoyed that he can't act when it comes to Brennan and so they go circling each other without getting closer.

She can't read his mind, and he did put the line in place. So what is she supposed to do?

At least Sweets encourages Daisy and declares his affection in front of everyone.

Booth can't declare himself even to Brennan.

So my comment "Booth, take a hint." was to let him know, I am losing patience with his inaction.

And since Brennan deserves love, she has a right to do something about it.

And I'd never thought I'd ever say this but even I would not wait forever no matter how much I loved him.

Anonymous said...

Why should it be Booth taking action? He is not in a relationship with Brennan. Would you tell Brennan how you felt with the way that she just throws herself at anyman, Ian, the two guys and even his very own brother. I certainly wouldn't. Booth deserves love too as well as Brennan, I would like to see Booth have a love interest this season. I AM SICK TO DEATH of people thinking it is Booth's responsilbility to fix everything in the B&B ship, newsflash it is not. A relationship is 1+1 not 1+0 - it takes TWO

Anonymous said...

Yep, Brennan doesn't have a free pass to do whoever without any consquences of her actions. Just because Booth made some comment a million years ago that he was referring to Cam, and has been totally fanw--ked and has been mentioned once since then, is no excuse for the behavior that is going down in s4. I think it is sad that fans always blame Booth and Brennan can do as she pleases. There is a double standard in the Bones fandom, it is appalling. In this epi they BOTH think they aren't available to another

i thought this episode was a good episode......but i did miss the fact that their wasn't that much B&B moments...but i loved the last scene..and when he said "you almost lit my butt on fire" i was cracking up..even though we knew that was coming...seems that everyone wanted that.....but i don't think they should of showed Angela and Roxy kissing....i think they went to far...but I'm not against it..its weird to see that Angela is that way...cos i always thought she's a girly girl...but i guess not...

Ok, well, I Loved it. Best scene of the night was probably Angela and Booth in the car, followed closely by Booth roughing up LaPaglia Jr. who should, at all times, sport the same look he did last night *damn!*

*I lactually had to laugh at the suspects, 'cause the writers perfectly captured the vitriolic BS you get in the art-word (where I spend quite a bit of time so save it).

*Daisy was her old annoying self but everyone's reaction to her was hilarious. And her expression when Brennan agreed with her was priceless. The actress has great timing. As for the Sweets romance, I thought it was quite sweet. They truly are made for each other.

*The Sweets-Angela vibe? Still there. So much so, even I felt it. And that pairing squeaks me out.

*Hodgins had probably the best lines of the night. His antics with the heavy machinery were oh, so Hodgins.

*I chuckled at the ending: Are they that dense? Denial is not just a river in Egypt. 'sall I'm saying.

And that's it. I'm happily awaiting for the next one. I'd be happier without the waiting, but I'll take what I can get.

Milky said...

Shep, you fixed the ending for me.

I loved the ep... Really liked the Ange-Booth scene in the car (and I wasn't surprised in the least he didn't have a problem with Ange&Roxy), laughed at the 'butt on fire' line and the 'you little tiny woman' line...
I liked the way we got to see everyone a lot (though of course I want that mixed with a lot of B&B)...

But the end made me so sad! to me they were saying why they thought what they had was not supposed to be and that depressed me-- not because I think it'd keep them apart, not for ever at least, but because you could almost feel the longing there... specially with the look Bren gives Booth.

But then... I feel better about it if I consider it to be tinted with their insecurities... cause it's not like "we better don't", but "we just can't mess this up"--which is what keeps them really apart: thinking they can fail.

Anonymous,

I see your point. In fact, I'm cranky because I didn't get my quota of Booth and Brennan special looks or touches.

I think Michaela is fantastic and didn't mind the gay slant. I just thought Booth and Brennan were all but ignored except for near the end.

And I watch this show for those Booth and Brennan moments when my heart stops and there is a flash of love somewhere even though it's not very obvious.

And to me the moment with Sweets and his girlfriend was a kind of foreshadowing as to what could be with Booth and Brennan, but is still unfulfilled.

Since Sweets took the lead, then it seemed it should be up to Booth. He is the alpha male who actually knows what love is.

Brennan just thinks it's chemicals which is only a part of it. And those chemicals can make you act crazy.

I know because I have never been this involved with a tv show before. And my chemicals have gone a little crazy over Booth.

Even I can't believe what I'm doing and I'm a mature woman.

I have class tomorrow and have to leave for a few days. You have really made this interesting for me. I would have been bored without your arguments.

Anonymous said...

^PL That's cool :)I have enjoyed our discussions too! I get what you mean too,I am getting frustrated with the lack of any real movement in the B&B relationship as well. Hart and co are just teasing & stringing along too much as it is. 4yrs is long enough for 2 people to be doing the same dance over & other. Then throw in the next epi, where Brennan is acting like a silly schoolgirl over a guy she just met and to hurt even more it is Booth's brother, there is only so much the shippers will put up with, sad:(

Louise said...

milky ... I know what you mean about the sadness of the ending - you'll notice that whichever one of them is not talking is looking longingly at Sweets and Daisy, as if thinking "could that ever be us?"

I agree about it being based on insecurities as well. Remember what Bones said (from Booth) about how people sometimes say the opposite of what they mean? It's as if they were both saying "no way too people so different would work out", but secretly hoping the other would disagree.

I loved it for that insight into their doubts. I actually think the main reason both of them are in denial is that they are worried that a) the other person wont feel the same way, and b) the other person thinks they're too different.

Of course, it was great for us, because we can all shout out "but you WOULD work" and "you DO have common ground!" :)

ok someone explain to me how Angela's relationship with Roxie wouldn't compromise the case in the same way Hodgins' relationship with Terence Bancroft's wife / Terence Bancroft (S2; Man in the mansion) did - yet another inconsistency.tut.tut.

And its funny how we love focussing more on Booth & Brennan's tiny little conversation at the end more than the case - Hart, if you're listening - just that one scene is not enough for us shippers out here...

Yeah, yeah. Show was great. But what about the NECKLACE??? anyone know where to get Angela's star/moon necklace?

Jeannie said...

I loved this episode. For a lot of reasons but the biggest is that I was so happy that Booth got to be the awesome guy he actually is this time. Deepa dev, I even liked the case a lot! ;-) But I'm also going to ask something related to the end scene: What do you guys make of Booth's smirk at the end when they keep assuring each other that relationships without common ground can't work?

Wendy said...

All of Brennan and Angela's are custom-made and not sold publicly.

Necklace Info

Milky said...

Well, Jeannie...
If you mean the very last smirk, it looks to me like he's thinking "God... we're so pathetic" lol.
Like he knew exactly what they were doing, and I quote Louise, they were secretly hoping the other would disagree.

But it also could be just DB smirking, and not Booth, and here we are, overanalyzing again...

Jeannie said...

Milky, I like your explanation. I think it's Booth, not DB. I was taking it as a "Let's just keep telling ourselves that.", and I agree, they both knew exactly what they were talking about. I don't think they were waiting for the other one to disagree, though. I believe they are both at a point in their relationship now where they know exactly what's going on but are not quite ready to act on it yet or even openly admit it to themselves yet. Hence Brennan's look and Booth's smile.

LOVED Roxy and Angela!I think its the perfect relationship for sweeps.

1. thank god they fired that annoying intern.

2. angela's kissing scene was sooo romantic.

3. i love that booth isn't some homophobic ass.

4. i loved booth's grin when he and bones were discussing...the other couple. hehehe

5. i hate that i knew it was the kabuki lady from the git-go.

6. i got a kick outta hodgins with his big new jaws-of-life toy.

Angela kissing woman was too 'soap opera' but then u complain there weren't enough B and B scenes! As a gay woman I get so cross at blind sighted straight people. You get to see romance from'your world' in most programs, yet when we, who are forced to spend 95% of our viewing time being bombarded with straight romance, finally get to see some tender and well handled romance that we can relate to you complain - try someone elses shoes before you complain - how would you like to only see gay love on TV as if your experiences don't exist!

Louise said...

anon ... I completely agree. I don't know how people can claim that the only reason they didn't like Angela kissing Roxie was because it was 'too soap-opera', but then not complain about Sweets kissing Daisy. Ridiculous double-standards.

I admit that when I first heard about this storyline I was worried that the network chose it just for 'shock' value (?!), but that concern has long flown out the window.
