Extreme Spoiler Chat: Mayhem on the Cross

New sides are out! Here is place to concentrate all the heavy spoiler talk (ie the major stuff from the sides, that most fans do NOT read) for Mayhem on the Cross. Feel free to post links in the comments, but I will keep the post free of them.

The point of this post is to keep the really heavy spoilers away from those who don't want to read them, not increase the spoiler focus here. Have fun!

I have to be the first comment here:

HOORAY FOR DR. WYATT! Love Stephen Fry.

I knew the news from spoilertv, but are you sure that the sides are out? I still haven't seen 'em anywhere...

Wendy said...

No, the sides are not out. But because there is information out, it's a good time to start this post :) I'm sure they will be out shortly, with the casting call already out.

Yess! I agree, Wendy, and second your HURRAY!!!
Gordon Gordon is made of awesome!
I was also thinking though (yes, I occasionally do that) that this can't be the last ep of the season, right? I mean, I know it's number 21, but we haven't had many proper, deeper or more serious eps (besides ConMan, Fire and Hero, of course). I hope the finale won't be a funny, comic kind of thing, although I can't know that this ep is like until I actually see it, I guess... anyway, we'll see where this goes!

Woohoo!

I'm so excited. Anything with Stephen Fry is always fantastic, and I loved Gordon Gordon - watching the old eps its so great to see how he stands up to Booth (unlike Sweets) ... "Well, now you're just lashing out, aren't you" :)

Can't wait for the sides to come out ... I'm keeping an eye on Stephen's Twitter page as well (he's just come back from lunch!)

Oh YES! Great news, I'd love to see stephen Fry again as Gordon Gordon. I'm totally excited about this now.

Gordon Gordon!! YAAYYYYY!! I love him! Can't wait to see Stephen Fry back - the guy's brilliant! Hopefully Gordon Gordon will have a few things to say about Booth and Brennan's relationship. I too love the way he stands up to Booth, and the wise, fatherly tone he uses!

GoldenNinde, I e-mailed AskFox earlier and just got this reply back:

"We are airing 26 episodes this season

ASKFOX".

Woo hoo!

Louise said...

I'm guessing by 'airing 26', they are including those are the start of the season that were originally produced for season 3. I think Mayhem on the Cross will be 4.15 (production number) - would probably be too much to expect another 11 episodes!

By the way, has anyone seen the info released like this before? i.e. with just a casting call, rather than the sides?

GoldenNinde said...

WOW really?!!!
Thanks, LJ, that's awesome! The longest season so far! :)

Making up for the shorter season 3. Can't wait to see how Sweets and Wyatt will interact with each other and the conversations about B/B realtionship will be great.

I hope it isn't too much of a Spoiler but i read the cast descriptions for the episode and apparently there is a Norwegian anthrpologist and unit commander like Norwegian's version of Booth and Brennan can't wait to see how that plays i can imagine lots of competiveness as there always is with B/B.

Gordon Gordon was a great character. It's exciting that there will be a comeback. A head to head with Sweets would be interesting.

Sides are now on Showfax! I haven't got a login to view them, but hopefully they'll be in the usual place tomorrow.

In season 2, there was supposed to be 22 episdoes but one of them got pulled, which I think all of you know, but it ended up airing in season 3. Season 3 was supposed to have 26 episodes, but since the writes strike happened, that did not. So 26 episodes is I guess normal. :)

*SQUEEEES at the thought of Gordon Gordon Wyatt returning to Bones*

I love love LOVE Stephan Fry, the man is a genius!!
I cant wait to see how he interacts with Sweets, that should be even funnier then him giving Booth heaps....

OOOOO wonder if he will get Hodgela back on track?!! *remember, he is that good* hehehe

Some of the sides are up on the LJ bones spoilers site. We learn something about Sweets' past in this episode.

Eli said...

@Dani: I think GG already sent them 'somewhere' ... not even one line for them

Louise said...

Remember what I said about them giving all the characters troubled childhoods? Now Sweets as well!

Not much B&B in the sides, but Gordon Gordon is even better than ever. Shame it sounds like it'll be his last episode - I'm glad they're giving some closure to the character though.

Madz said...

Yay! I just finished reading the sides (which I normally don't do, if I can help it) and I can't wait to see GG and Sweets together. Also, I'm glad they're giving some background to each of them :D
Really looking forward to this ep!

I watched Con Man and 'Boy in the Tree'from season 1 back to back last night. It really showed the massive changes the characters, especially B&B have undergone. From their 'just partners' bickering to their now 'close friends (with added unresolved sexual tension)'bickering.
It made me miss Zack too!

Milky said...

Louise, I remember you saying that. So far, I'm ok with it... let's hope it remains the same!

And, Shep? That's one of the things I love the most about this show: how it has developped; how different are the characters from the Pilot to FITI-- The best of it all, you believe them!

Can't wait to see GG!

Where does it indicate that this is Dr. Gordon's last episode?

Louise said...

Anon ... there's a couple of comments from Sweets about how GG shouldn't leave psychology behind - sounds as if he might be retiring.

Pretty sure this ep is being filmed next week - Stephen's just updated his Twitter with news of his latest travels...
"America first: another episode of Bones. Then Mexico. Then Indonesia. Packing for hot climates and jungle. "

the kick ass metal band 'Jameson' is playing their song 'get to the choppah' in this episode under the alias Zorch. They kick so much ass you guys are going to be blown away.

If you go to wikipedia it has a list of season 4 episodes. This one is number 21 out of 26.
