WOW super intense opening!!!! My heart is going a mile a minute. We should have double epis every Bonesday!!!

ninirific said...

ummm i knew i wouldn't like that perotta chick. why is all the flirting happening? and why was booth all "we're just partners"?????

Anonymous said...

Perotta looks just like Parker's mom, it's freaky. Also, I'm already over her. I get that they like to create tension, but could it be with someone more similar to Bones? That would be interesting.

Anonymous said...

I really thought i would like her but i don't like her as much as i didn't like booths brother. They both mean TROUBLE!

ninirific said...

i really really dislike her. "i prefer backseats myself" what was THAT about?

Kat said...

OK the Perotta/Booth interrogation scene was way WORSE than I expected. Booth is much more into her than I'd thought he would be.
Grrr, Perotta's "I prefer back seats" comment.
If we've gotta deal with this then I want to see some real jealousy from Bones.

@Anon - She really does look like Rebecca. A lot.

ninirific said...

i agree kat! bones hasn't even been there to see most of their interaction.

Anonymous said...

Booth's taste in cherubic blonds needs to go, because it lessens the plausibility of him falling in love with Bones. Plus, Perotta is crass and unintelligent.

Points for that great scene with Sweets though. Excellent!

Kat said...

Did Bones get that Perotta was saying Booth is flirting with her? It's so hard to tell with her...

Ah, Booth goes down...

Kat said...

@Anon - Sweets scene re:abuse was very, very good.

Bones just looked exactly like she did when she was leaning over Booth after he was shot in Wannabe.

Hodgela...nice.

Bones is going to drive me home and get me soup. YAY!!!

Anonymous said...

I love Wendell in the episode though. The chemistry between him and Booth is great. He's really becoming one of the gang.

rachel said...

i am not a perotta fan.

ninirific said...

awesome scene between booth and sweets.

at least booth knows who is going to take care of him at the end of the day: bones!

Amanda said...

I'm probably in the minority here, but I really like Wendell. He gives a little more "real guy"/blue collar for Booth to play off.

And the last scene.... swoooooon.

Maybe Perotta will hook up with Jared. That'll serve 'em both.

Anonymous said...

Ok best booth and bones moment ever! No doubt about it. Made me cry.

ninirific said...

i really like wendell too. he makes me want to take care of him cause he's so cute and gives off that little brother vibe.

jared and perotta deserve each other.

last scene was sooo cute! but what did booth mean by nothing is going to change between us? its gotta go somewhere! which i'm glad bones pointed out. sooo cute!

hero epi looks awesome!

Anonymous said...

Perotta gotta go...she looks like she can be booths mother...illll ! man at least if she were pretty ok..but come on!

Hannah said...

Perotta! I hate her! What is wrong with her? Blah! How long is she going to last? I'm only ten minutes into the episode.

Rolywa said...

loved this episode- much better than i expected...especially the ending on the ice:)

Anonymous said...

perotta needs to go! shes already bothering me. and anon, she could be booths mother! the ending was just great. they should hold hands more often!

Mo:) said...

i thought it was a GREAT way to bring back BONES. I dont know how to feel about Perotta.... i dont hate her as some here are saying, but i dont really like her.
I LOVED the end scene with B/B it was soooooo sweet.
(p.s. no one should really worry about perotta because B/B are going to end up together.....eventually :))

Anonymous said...

Did any see them ice skating together?!?!?!?!
You can't tell me that was not the cutesy thing you have ever seennin you whole entire life. And I absolutley love. the "forget about agent perretta. nothing can come between us." <333333

Lilian said...

OMG i've almost told my girl friends that i want my date to bring me ice-skating. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY. LOLx

Anonymous said...

lol i wonder if Bones fell on the ice or Emily fell on the ice...if you know what i mean!

Anonymous said...

Loved the scenes with Hodgins and Wendell. I don't think you're in the minority at all - I love wendell. I think he's the best intern.

The last scene was amazing.

Stephanie said...

I thought Brennan got that Perotta was trying to say that Booth had been flirting with her. I thought her simple "yes" or whatever she said when Perotta asked that question sounded kinda jealous.

I love the idea of Perotta and Jared hooking up, haha. I'm all for that. I'm secretly hoping Booth & Brennan will kiss at the end of the next Gravedigger episode, since we all know David wanted them to kiss in that episode back in season two, but I highly doubt that'll happen.

Loved the ice skating scene!! So cute! And I, too, was wondering just how much of the falling (and ice slipping on Booth's part from an earlier scene) was scripted. I think it would be kind of difficult to act like you couldn't skate if you were really good at it (and vice versa.)

I like Wendell, too. But I'm also a fan of the intern in the circus episode, just because his random facts crack me up. Can we keep those two and get rid of everyone else? They're really the only ones I enjoy watching. All in all, this was a great Bones night!

Christina said...

I like Wendall, too. . I don't know why, but Nigel-Murray looked nice with the red tie and new hair. Extra nice. :D

Cheng said...

i would usually hate anything and anyone that came between booth and brennan, but i actually didn't mind perotta. she knew her place!

the last scene was incredibly adorable and sweet, sickeningly so, but in a good way :)

i like wendell too, i think it's cute that booth is taking the jeffersonian interns outside the lab to play hockey...and being very protective of them! i hope they keep him as the permanent intern. the others all get kind of annoying after awhile.

Anne said...

Another great interview

Anonymous said...

I don't like Perotta either.I agree with Kat if we are going to see this tension may we also see bones jealous.Loved the ice skating scene. And now we have to wait 2 weeks for new episode. That one looks really good!!!

Anonymous said...

I really hope that they keep wendell on full-time when the intern juggling is through. Nigel annoys everyone too much, and Clark cant stand anyone in the lab, and it's tiresome when all the interns do is create repetitive bickering commentary. His expertise also coming from his real-life, blue collar thing makes him well rounded and he rounds out the team well. Also he does experiments! And he needs it the most. And he's cute. please keep wendell!

Anonymous said...

Did anyone else find it endearing when Hodgins and Wendell both told Perotta that they were Booth's people, not her people?

Anonymous said...

oh i do love me some double Bones. But just to make a little observation, as a long time Buff/Angel fan (i equally love Bones/Booth pairing so no hate comments please) did anyone else notice that the actress who played Kendra is in this episode...coincidentally when the main characters also go ice skating?
I was just a tad bit excited when I saw her.

And i concur...Perotta needs to go. They need to bring in someone with the intelligence and beauty of Brennan and the personality similar to Booth's...wouldn't that be interesting.

katjem said...

I enjoyed this episode. It was a great double and I am really hyped for the rest of the season. The hockey was fantastic. Bit rough but I liked seeing Booth play sport. The ending was simply beautiful. “I think you’re made of very, very good stuff”.

It is strange seeing Booth flirt as he hasn’t had a “love interest” since Season 2. I’ve always thought he was holding out for Brennan. I definitely need more clarification with the “Nothing’s gonna change between me and you” line. Is that a hint that there will be more than just flirting between Booth and Perotta or is that a dismissal? Hmmm. Interesting.

I really liked Wendell in this episode. Clark has always been my favourite intern but they may have to share the title. If this episode is anything to go by, Wendell would be a really good addition to the team.

Great scene with Sweets and Booth. Hodgins and Cam had some great one liners. “We’re Booth’s team” also put a smile on my face. I am so glad Bones is back!

Lou said...

katjem - I took it as a dismissal of Perotta as a love interest. I could be wrong, but he kind of looks up and almost decides after Bones says he's made of 'very good stuff'. And then follows that with 'not everything Bones, not everything'.

Plus, the looks he gives her through the whole scene (and she gives back to him) and how he opens up to her again about his Dad. I think he decided to wait for her again...

I also think he picked up on her needing reassurance about Perotta.

Like I said, I could be wrong.

(And incidentally, I thought PP came across as a bit of a skank. Obvious, much? Anything that did happen with her is going to be insignificant and superficial - crappy sex even...).

Amanda said...

Quick thought... Brennan comments that Cam likes hockey (the fights anyway) because it taps into the part of Cam's mind that hasn't found a mate yet.

So, does this mean the reason Brennan doesn't much care for the fights is that she has found a mate?

@Lou... I agree, if there was any Booth/Perotta action it wouldn't get much screen time. Kind of like Tessa.

Dani said...

that was a fantastic episode, and if these first two back are an indication of the rest of the season, methinks we are in for one heck of a ride!!

Bring on Hero in the Hold i say!!

Pascale said...

I absolutely loved that episode. The Booth/Sweets scene during the interrogation, and at the end how Booth after telling Sweets he would not say anything to him, answers Brennan when she asks, and Bones' answer then.
I liked that they were all "we're Booth' people". And I liked Wendell, I think too he goes along very well.
I'm not sure what to think about Perotta. Maybe there was something in the interrogation room but later on, well...

alanna said...

Lou- I just gasped when I read your post. I think you are *exactly* right. Brennan needed reassurance about Perotta, even if she didn't necessarily know it herself.

Loved the episode, especially the ending. I didn't really mind Perotta all that much, but I hope the flirting and the working together as partners only is where it stays.

Lou said...

@ Amanda - I like your way of thinking :-D.

Just re-watched for a millionth time and the bit where he is so affectionate towards her when she calls Luc R, 'Lucky Luciano' is just unbearably sweet. Then, she re-establishes contact by holding his hand so naturally as they continue the conversation.

Unbearably sweet.

I think I preferred Fire to Panhandle. At the moment anyway. I'm not sure. It seems there's more to comment on with Fire than Panhandle anyway - just look at the difference in comments on here!!

Dani said...

no ones mentioned the change room scene... can i be the one to say *swoon*

Vodzu said...

Is it just me or Booth`s last sentence - "I`m never gonna make you fall, I`m always here" - has double meaning ?:D

ninirific said...

Anon - I totally caught that Kendra thing too!! I think its like one of thise Angel/Buffy references they sneakily put in like the "Hyperion Hotel" ref one episode.

Vodzu...I absolutely think it had double meaning! The whole convo had deep meaning to the seemingly simple comments.

Dani: That face that he gave her when he was all "Can you wait outside please?". SWOOOON! And did you catch his peck flex??? I about died!

Anonymous said...

When booth says that he will never make her fall is definately a awwww factor so sweet!!

Perotta is no threat as far as i'm concerned i think Booth just made it so obvious that Brennan is who he wants. Though i think it would be good if Booth went on a date with Perotta i don't think the flirtin in this epi made as much tension or jelousy as i expected, i want Bones to really show that she does want Booth.

BellaBaby said...

Awesome ep! Booth was too hot in the locker room scene. Also loved Bones taking him home, getting soup....she seemed VERY comfortable in his house....hmmmm. I liked the actress, but not the character of Perotta.

I think we need a scene with Booth taking her on a date and get to the end where they would "kiss goodnight" and see him back out, having a little epiphany that he can't/doesn't want to go through with it cuz he's only thinking about Brennan!

Anonymous said...

I don't really think Perotta poses much of a threat, but it doesn't make her any less...aggravating? I guess that would be the word. She just came across as kind of new, and just didn't get the whole family aspect of Booth and the squints. I love the way they all said they were Booth's and not hers.

Also, and I know it isn't the first time...but after Booth got back up and was talking to...Wendell I think, and referred to him as Bones and Brennan was all "But...I'm Bones."

And the comment about how she was all "When you fall down and don't get back up, I get worried." So adorable. I'm really thinking they're getting closer to something, or at least slowly edging their way there. And seeing as Perotta will be in Hero, maybe she'll sort of get the bond between Brennan and Booth and just back off a little? We can hope.

Mayflower said...

I hope someone will upload the ep's on youtube :-(

I'm a genius and I'm confused said...

Has anyone here seen the new Bones promo for Heroe in the Hold, it doesn't give much dialogue but it allows lots for the imagination. Looks like an action packed episode, not had one of those for a while.
Can't wait for this episode!

Find it on youtube.com http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uB8h8RJCU8E

Kat said...

@Amanda - I really liked Wendell too. I've sort of changed my mind about the interns now! I thought he played really well off Booth. The locker room shot of them both was just...*faints*

GREAT insight re:the Cam comment. I thought it came off a bit flat in the episode but you are so right in her analogy. She isn't looking for a man anymore so she def doesn't want to see acts of violence against him.

@KatJem and Lou - I completely took it as a dismissal of Perotta. His look when she asked about her showed he realized her concern and his "nothing will change between us." He is totally saying "Baby, I can wait you out!!!"

Little thing that I rewound about 10 times in this episode: Booth in the penalty box. Brennan waves at him in a really cutesy way and then Booth waves back all manly cause he's mad at the ref but then it's like he thinks... "Aw my girl is watching me play" and he gives her the CUTEST smile ever. Loved that.

Dani said...

yeah Kat, i thought that was super sweet too when booth waved back with a smile...

i do the same thing with my hubby when he's playing sport and get that same cutesy smile and wave back...

Lou said...

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. It was amazing. He went from being furious, to beaming in a split-second. Swoon. lol.

There were so many cute moments in this episode. So many!

And funny bits too -

Sweets : Rats! I winced.

Cam : I like it just a little too much.

Hodgins keeps getting his thunder stolen too, lol.

after watching it for the gazillionth time, i noticed that booth's cast had "i ::heart:: daddy!" on it. sooo cute :)

Great episode – just the right mix of humour, cuteness, and drama. I much prefer the Bones comedy when it’s more witty banter between colleagues, rather than the more obvious humour of B&B in a circus. There was loads in this ep, without being too much, and we got great moments from all the characters .. including Caroline, which is always a bonus!

I quite liked Perotta, but then I don’t really see her as a threat. Then again, I didn’t really mind the Sully episodes – don’t get me wrong, I found the character incredibly annoying, but those eps really moved the B&B relationship along (it was the first real time we saw Booth’s feelings so explicitly).

I actually think they eased Perotta in quite subtly – she didn’t bump heads with the team, and she didn’t try to be too buddy-buddy with them. I loved everyone’s reassurances that they were still Booth’s squints though … the “Your people? We’re Booth’s people” lines were the best of the night – I especially loved the way they all answered at the same time.

There was definitely a spark between Booth and Perotta, but I agree with those that said it was just a physical thing from Booth’s side (he must be getting pretty frustrated!) … he didn’t really seem that bothered about getting to know her any better. That was definitely a reassurance from Booth at the end, but I feel kind of bad for him – like he’s saying that he’ll keep his relationships on hold so he’ll be there for Brennan.

And I always like to see Wendell – he’s got the little brother-ness that Zack had (whereas Nigel-Murray has the weirdness), especially in his scenes with Hodgins and now Booth.

I’m sure I have plenty of other things to say about this ep, but I’ve forgotten for now!

Louise said...

Cheng - good spot! I was trying to see what was written on there.

Lou - I forgot about Hodgins having his thunder stolen ... even more funny since it happened in both eps! :)

Deepa Dev said...

@Lou - about how Brennan so naturally went back to holding Booth's hand...

I saw it and I was like awwwww... they are totally at ease around each other ... you'd think they are SO used to holding each other's hands... *swoon*

as far as the interns go, Wendell knocked Clark off the top of my list with this ep ... you guys are totally right about his chemistry with Booth - I mean, I dont think I can imagine Clark saying 'We're Booth's people' that quickly...

and the part where Brennan was like 'I get nervous when you fall down and dont get back up' - was a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e - now, she's the one running around & taking care of him - another example - running to the locker room to check if he was ok :)

When Booth said 'I've to stay up all night and who better to keep me company than you' - its as close to saying 'I like being around you' without actually saying it :D

Milky said...

Ok, it seems I'm the only one here thinking this, but-- I really didn't see all that spark between Booth and Perotta. It may be because I'd read the sides, but it definitely wasn't the kind if thing I expected from the interrogation scene.
Actually, the feeling I got was COMPLETELY different: I felt like he was yeah, kind of enjoying that she found him attractive, but not really interested. Maybe some cute little playing... but I simply did *not* see him interested back.

Maybe I'm in denial LOL

I'm repeating here, so I'll make it short: All those scenes you talked about. And on the "I get nervous when you fall down and don't get up": that's right, she looked just like in Wannabe. And I could see her jumping when he fell and running to him, not caring about the others... awwwww

I also loved the father-son scene when they discovered the body (good, because that way you don't fall through the ice, or die, or get a disease... or get pregnant lol), Bren unable to comfort Wendell cause she didn't understand Cam's signals, the fact the first line we heard was Bones cheering for Booth...

You know, they were so a couple during the ep... don't you think? she was there for 'her man' (the one she found and so she doesn't need to find another mate or watch violence...), cheering and worried about him when he fell... and that cutestest end scene? they were just... a couple. I don't know how to define it better.

And I agree, Perotta isn't a threat at all (I know what you meant last night, now, Kat!). IF it were to be a fling, it wouldn't go any further.

Just another thing: he likes blonds... But he had a relationship with Cam AND found the bounty hunter attractive. What I mean is, he might like them blonds... but he's flexible LOL. After all, he fell for a kinda-brunnette.

Milky said...

ps: Hodgins's "photo of opportunity" and his grin LOL

Emilie said...

I really really really liked that episode specially the end with booth's "nothing's gonna change between me and you" all the hockey thing!

And like most of people I don't like that Perotta chick!

Rebecca said...

What a great episode! I agree with almost everything that's been said--with one exception! I don't think that Brennan is that different from Cam. That is, I'm not so sure she DISLIKES the violence. At the beginning, she says "I'm not sure how I feel about this." We know that when she knows her feelings she has not trouble saying so. Therefore, I find it very telling that she did NOT say "I don't like this." I think that little glance she gave Cam after Cam says "I like it a little too much" was more considering and possibly agreeing! That's my take on it, anyway. ;-)

Shep said...

That opening scene was brilliant! I'm really glad we're getting snippets about Booth's relationship with his father and Sweets picking up on the violence connection was great.

Did anybody recognise Bianca Lawson as Albie - she played Kendra in Buffy Season 2. Coincidentally, Kendra's first appearance was when Angel took Buffy ice skating!

I really didn't like Perotta here however, I agree with Milky - I reckon Booth was just flirting for the fun of it whereas Perotta seemed pretty keen on Booth. I don't think anything much will happen betweeen them but I'm hoping for some more obvious jealousy from Brennan. There might've been a twinge of it during the 'twinkly eyes' conversation. I'd sooner see Perotta gone though.
I also loved the team's loyalty to Booth:
Perotta: My people were right
Cam and Caroline: You're people?
Wendell and Hodgins: We're Booth's people.
Yay squint squad! That put her in her place!

I absolutely loved the ending! Every second of it! 'I'm never gonna make you fall. I'm always here' - eeeeee!

BellaBaby said...

Okay, just want to take a different spin on this and see what everyone thinks...
The end scene when Brennan says that Perotta liked working with them but she didn't want to work with any other agent but Booth. Was she just letting Booth know she likes working with him, or was she really trying to find out from Booth if he, too, would only want to work with Brennan? you know, I'll show you mine and you show me yours type thing, she laid her heart out and wanted to see if Booth felt the same or if he had liked working with Perotta. Maybe she thought more about Perotta "twinkling eyes" convo and started to get concerned.

BellaBaby said...

Oh yea, and I CANNOT stop watching the scene with Booth in the penalty box and that goofy lil grin he gives her after she waves at him....that is too funny! I'm going to burn out my computer replaying that one scene LOL It's like he is soooo proud that she's watching him and waving at him all excited, like Booth said before "you let me be a guy". And that's what guys love, right, to be all big bad sports macho man with my lady watching me....

Anonymous said...

A great one i think. Perotta is interesting, i think her comments to Bones about Booth's flirting was to see her reaction. I think Booth was flirting cause he hasnt really since Pritch in London and its a boost to his ego as he waits for Bones and a way to stay on her good side and stay on the case.

The ending was good, heck the whole thing was great. so gald the show is back even if we have to wait 2 weeks for the next episode.

jb

Anonymous said...

I don't think that perotta is going to mess up anything. When she comes back in the hero she will see the true booth and brennan and hopefully back off. But i think a little outside love would be ok. But i do agree that booth needs to date someone like brennan so that everyone else can see it besides booth and brennan. That would be very funny.

Shep said...

I doubt that would happen Anon; Booth is very perceptive and would be able to recognise what attracts him to the woman. I'd expect it from Brennan, but not Booth so much. It may be a little OOC.

Anonymous said...

I totally like Wendell I think he fits right in with the team. I like him playing hockey with Booth and Booth gets along well with him where as Booth just did not get Zack at all. All the scenes with Booth and Bones were cute, they really care for each other the ending was the best they so look like a couple. Hart needs to get this relationship going in the right direction or the fans will become bored with these scenes that seems to lead to no where.
I like this episode better than double trouble although they both were loaded with B&B moments.

Lou said...

BellaBaby, I think Brennan was fishing for something there, as best as she can! Definitely.

There are so many comments here, that I'm reading going 'YES! Totally'. It's so cool.

I think we have new reasons to get excited when we see Bones in red from now on - it seems like something *big* always happens when she is - mistletoe kiss, Con Man cake, totally awesome hand-holding... there may be more little examples out there ;-D.

MC :) said...

Maybe the twinkly eyes comment Perotta made to Bones was a hint that Perotta will tell Bones that she sees that look when Booth looks at Bones. It's hard to put into words what im trying to say, but I'm hoping that comment will do some good for the B&B relationship.

katjem said...

Lou - I think you're right re: dismissal of Perotta. The comment couldn't help me wonder but Booth & Brennan were so "one" in that last scene - they whole episode really - it is hard to see someone coming between them now.

Milky - They were definietly a couple. Agree 100%.

Amanda said...

@MC: You could be right. It's might be a bit of "does he do that for everyone or just you?"

Louise said...

I didn't really like Brennan's response to that question - given her observation skills, the fact she's mentioned his 'reassuring brown eyes' before, and the amount of staring into each others eyes they do, she can't have NOT noticed them twinkling at her. And if she already knows that that's a sign of arousal then why doesn't she recognise it in him?! Argh!

Although, I guess it could be argued that she's so oblivious to his feelings, that she doesn't think of her science applying in this case.

In fact, if her response was more like "Twinkling eyes is due to pupil dilation, which is a sign of arousal. But in Booth's case I think his eyes are naturally like that.", the line would have been perfect.

Notice the wooohooo from Sweets at the beginning is kinda the Angela's female version ... I think Angela make it more manly than him.

I bet that Hodgins' pic will be used for hmmmm ... other epi.

Notice that one of the team is Nick (1st Top 4 apprentice )

And hoping that HH doesn't torture Hodgela's fan too much.

And Happy long Holiday to anybody who celebrate CNY

I'm rewatching now (and yeah, the penalty box wave is still really cute) and noticed a couple of things:

When Perotta says she prefers the back seat, Booth looks not only uncomfortable, but a little put-off. (maybe the crappy skanky sex ;) that Lou referred to?). He smiled at her a bit after that, but the flirting stopped--including telling her that she didn't need to come to the game with the state police that night.

Also, when raiding the poker game Booth says "I don't have a bad hand." I think (think) that's a slight reference to either his Army training (I have friends/family who were in different branches and were trained to use their non-dominant hand for a lot of things in case of injury to their dominant hand) OR it's a reference, though slight, to Wannabee since he was hit in the right shoulder and SHOULDN'T have been able to use his right arm very well for a while. Though he seems to be a near miraculous healer (blown up by fridge, in a car, shot, and now broken hand, among others.

The look on Brennan's face was cute when Booth told Sweets that she was going to drive him home and get him soup. It almost sounds like she was starting to protest in an "I am? But I have things to do" kind of way.

The end scene is still reeeeally sweet.

Oh, and the "I (heart) Daddy" on the cast... reminded me of the stuff my nieces and nephews drew on my cast when I broke my leg. Nice touch.

BTW, now that I see it on hulu, I notice that the end title music is different from normal. Is that new this season, or just for this episode?

Tenny said...

I like the new agent but she seemed too happy all the time always smiling the only scene she wasn't smiling was when they all go to victim's apartment....the last scene was too cute widout any sexual tension :(

Lindsay said...

I actually kind of like Perotta. I probably would have liked her more if Brennan had gotten visibly jealous. Brennan is fun when she gets all alpha female for Booth.

We all know that Booth and Brennan are meant for each other and that eventually they will get together and this episode proved that they could have that "thing" going with Perotta and still have the swoon worthy last scene with B&B.

I loved Brennan's face when she starts explaining entropy and Booth is pushing her really fast. That and the second time she almost fell, I think that was Emily really falling because she had to catch herself, the f-bomb looked like it was about to slip out. Just watch her lips. FUNNY!

That last scene was OFFICIALLY the best ending scene ever! Maybe even that best shipper moment ever. Just too great. Summed up their relationship very well.

And I liked Double Trouble, but I DEFINITELY preferred this eppy over that one. It was a little over the top for me. Pun not intended.

catnapping said...

I didn't feel any sexual tension between Mr. Boreanaz, and the actress playing Perotta. None...he flirted, sure. But it reminded me more of a guy trying to charm a woman...not one that really wants her.

Good thing, too, cuz I am totally prepared to hate her guts if the writers bring their two characters together.

The epilogue made me think, married couple....as did the exit from the office, Booth all but dragging Brennan home to nurse him. Clearly, they prefer each other's company.

It's scenes like that, that really make me miss my husband, because Mr. Boreanaz has the same eyes, and many of the same expressions. I loved cooking for my husband, and he loved being waited on at the table. It was a very intimate thing for us...suppertime, after the kids were grown.

There were elements of the circus episode I liked, but I preferred the hockey episode.

(I might have liked the circus episode more if they'd done some close-ups of Booth in those tight leather pants...)(no disrespect to Mr. B, intended)

omg. reading the comments...i didn't even think about the fact that they were holding hands on the ice!

i'm gonna hafta go watch that episode on fox/vod.

the comments here are awesome. i love this place.

how impressed am I that this show never dissapoints. The opposite-It gets better. You think that they've set a high bar by taking them to the circus, but then follow that up with an episode that has all the great moments everyone is commenting on and we're reminded that what makes Bones so so special is it's brilliant writing of it's characters.

I also wish there was a way we could put in some kind of official vote for Wendell.

Also, as blatantly romantic as the last scene was, my favorite shipper bit was the 'twinkly eyes' conversation. Because it certainly got to the point, a long time ago, where there couldn't be a Bones episode without at least one lingering, nonverbal Booth/Bones twinkly eyesex moment. It's now the law. I can't wait for more jealousy- they're clearly know what they're doing.

This just occur to me why was Wendel playing same team as Booth? Was it not sometime of law enforcement team? Why would Wendel be on it?

I can't honestly say I've read every comment, but I agree with almost everyone, but has no one mentioned:
"Forget Perotta, nothing's gonna change between us"
Mainly the first bit (forget Perotta) I think he's telling her and himself that she's not worth coming between them.
Gah, too many awesome scenes in this ep! And WE SEE BOOTH'S APARTMENT!!! That hasn't happened (much) in four seasons!!!!
The drama in this ep was also great; Sweets being actually angry was new! Confronting Booth and all that... loved it. Loved that he told Bones and not Sweets, too. But yeah, fantastic!

How could I forget one of my favourite parts - the locker room scene: Shirtless Booth!! Yum! Then Brennan barged and Booth was very calm when telling her to wait outside.

Awesome episode, the ending - one of the cutest B/B moment ever! Definitely!! and I like Wendell..maybe... I can say I liked him a little bit more than Zack..Sorry ZackFans, but I can't help myself, Wendell is really great character.:):)
I also can't deside which ep. was better....I think I can't choose one. They were both great

@Tenny: After much trying, I finally saw that the name of Booth's hockey team is the "Fed cases" (like head cases, lol) As such, I suppose that anyone connected with the FBI can play with them.

I know for a fact Perotta definately isn't the gravedigger the sides give that away, though that would have been one hell of a story line - maybe a bit too predictable though -

Coming late into the discussion but wanted to add - to me, Booth's "Nothing is going to change between us" was a simple "I'll always be here for you, no matter what", not an indication that they can't be more than friends. I was actually surprised at how outspoken both of them were during that scene. Usually, it's just Booth making some coded statement ("There is someone out there for everyone...") and Brennan keeping silent but this time both of them were very open with each other. I call that definite progress.

I liked the different shades of BB being together we had during both episodes, the old married couple that argues about underwear on the floor and the young couple in love that goes ice-skating. If the show is bringing some of the sexual tension back into the mix now, I'll be very happy.

Also, I didn't find Agent Perotta as hateable as some others did. I'm with Louise on this - they introduced her in a subtle way, and she seemed to respect everybody's work in this investigation. However, at no point did I think she could be a serious obstacle for BB; Booth didn't seem that much into her (the flirting had more of a "I'm trying to get you on my side" than anything sexual for me), and please, how lame was that comment about him working out? If she manages to open Brennan's eyes a bit for the man in Booth, I'm all for her being there.

I was surprised to see Wendell back. That's his third time around, right? But while I found him very bland during the last episode he was on (can't even remember which one that was), he made a great addition to the team this time. I especially loved the comradeship between him and Booth and Hodgins.

And Angela and Hodgins are definitely going into the right direction here. Can't wait to see how their plot works out.
