Ausiello tosses out a couple of spoilers

The latest Ausiello spoiler Q&A has two Bones spoilers on there. The first is something that surprises me, and makes me groan (considering opening it up everyone as something all should know, let me know what you think about that in the comments). And, I must say, I do NOT agree with the 'consensus' the fan claims.

The second is disappointing to those who read sides because you already know that, but it is being tossed out by a producer, so I'll give that a pass, I guess.

What do you think of the reveals?

Thanks, Bonzgirl, for the quick heads up!

I don't know...I don't have a favorite intern! I like each for a different reason - I could sort of relate to them, because I can see parts of them in me.

I kind of like the rotating interns, but I do think they'll have to pick one - eventually, although I'd hate to see any of them go.

Hi! As I already wrote in the Italian Bones Forum, I agree with this decision. I think that the different grad students just fit in the diffferent stories. Well, a grad student like Wendell is good for The Fire in the Ice, a grad student like Fisher is a logic choice for The princess and the pear...I don't like all the grad students (I guess nobody does..), but this way just seems the right one now. The bad thing is that I hoped for a return of Zach at the end of the Season (dreaming....).
Just my two cents (hoping that my english is correct...).

this post made me so nervous because of the way it was worded that i check out the spoilers even though i have been trying to avoid them. but i already knew about both of these things... and i dont really mind. I don't like any of the interns enough to have them be permanent so the device is OK.

Sorry for scaring you :)

I'm ok with this ... I kind of like all of them, but not really enough to keep any one of them on permanently. I couldn't really choose between Wendell, Clark or Nigel-Murray.

i was kind of hoping they'd pick one - wendell, probably - because i think it leads to better character development, and that's kind of a big thing for the show. that being said - i loved the intern on salt in the wounds - so if we keep getting interns like that - i'm okay with it. i'm even warming up to nigel-murray - which i never thought i'd say.

i do kind of wish that if they keep switching interns - they'll at least give them longer arcs - maybe 2 or 3 eps in a row.

Wendell does seem to be the most popular grad student recently, given that we haven't seem Clark Edison for a while, but to say that there's a consensus...

Personally, I've enjoyed the rotating intern device this season, and I'm really glad that they didn't just bring in a new main cast member, but I think it won't work indefinitely. As Erin mentioned, there's no character development if they change around so much, and some of them are still more caricatures than characters and get wearing after a bit.

For me, a good solution going into season five would be to keep two or three of them as permanent members of the team (we wouldn't have to see them all each week). My picks would be Clark Edison and Wendell. I think Wendell fits in great with the team, including Booth, though we would need to see more of him being a great scientist. Clark has the brilliance, and I think he fits in better with the team than he believes he does. And maybe Mr. Nigel-Murray - I have a soft spot for my fellow British grad student in DC (though quite how he gets to work at the Jeffersonian on a student visa I don't know - you always nitpick what you know ;) ).

Yeah, I do love Wendell and would like him to stay but I wouldn't say that's the fandom's consensus.

I love most of the interns we have so far: I'm one of Fisher's and Mr. N-M's biggest fans, but I don't think I'd want either of them permanently in the lab. I mean, poor Cam! However, I do want them to make up their minds this season. They don't even have to show me, really, that they're choosing an intern. Just choose one by the first episode of the next season and I'll be a happy camper.

Otherwise...well, I don't know. It's gonna get old fast.

Wendell is able to interact with the Squints and Booth really well. But I also love Clark. I'd be happy with either of them. I also really like Fisher and his Eeyore-ness. I agree with the fact that the different interns fit in with the stories but I think they should pick one eventually and allow for some character development.
