Bones Ratings: The Girl in the Mask

Should we make the Wednesday night call official? Bones dropped yet again in ratings. Episodes airing early in Canada cannot help, neither does the fact that Dish network's Fox feed last night (at least here) was a mass of pink boxes for the first twenty minutes.

At least it jumped a million in the second 1/2 hour.

wow. that's crummy.
it's the worst of the whole season, right? I assumed that bones would get renewed but this recent drop in ratings has me a little worried. Is it something to be worried about?

grrrrr..... darn scheduling changes!

I also blame it on Canada airing Bones a day early. :(

well, i'm not sure if the day earlier in Canada really matters. I suspect only the hard core bones lovers even know it was aired earlier in canada. and we must be a pretty small bunch.

Or maybe it's because we finally got an episode like the ones we got in previous seasons, when (from what I've heard)Bones was more of a cult show (Hart Hanson's words to DB on the Paley Center event,if I remember correctly)than a ratings "racing horse".It seems old-school fans like this kind of episodes much more, whereas the others prefer the lighter ones(it might explain the writers' change of heart this season).I really hope I'm wrong, though!Or that the writers will have the dignty to keep up the good job we saw yesterday,no matter what...

I think wednesdays and mondays are really good to Bones. Thursdays? Not so much. :/
And a I just hope that we get a fifth season!

I'm all for Wednesday! Fox people, do you hear me? :)

Wendy, Ausiello has a blind item spoiler that may or may not refer to BONES. As I said, tt's a bind item.

I'm posting the link, but only half the title, because the title in itself has the spoiler:

Blind item shocker:

It may not be BONES; could be House or Grey's or Lost or...

I should add that I do doubt that the Ausiello blind is BONES, because the spoilers says the person doesn't want the [spoiler], but Brennan DOES want one, according to other spoilers.

Ratings for shows that air both in Canada and the US are counted seperately. The airing of an episode early will only alter the numbers in border towns to Canada like Detroit as they can pick up Canadian TV stations. The reason the ratings are so drastically different on Wednesday's vs. Thursday's is that there so many shows to watch on Thursday night. I do agree that they should move it to Wednesday nights.

If you look at his analysis now, at TVBytheNumbers, every show was down last night in various ways, it seems.

Probably can't help that there already was an episode on this week as well. Casual fans will tick it off mentally as 'seen' for the week and not necessarily expect to see another.

It's been pushed around the schedules so much this year, I'm surprised anyone can find it at all.
