A very cute episode--I felt for Sweets when Brennan spilled the beans; loved seeing Wendell again; loved the Hodgela interactions; loved Wendell being a normal human being and trying to get Hodgins out in the real world again; LOVED the final scene. It seems more like the Bones from S1&2 than the lighter episodes from S3&4.

Oh, and how could you not laugh at "It's Bones!"?

Am geeked for tomorrow's episode. I'm interested to see the reaction to Booth's shooting in the preview (is that a spoiler?)

The ending was good. The killer suprised me. Great booth and brennan moments. Would it be terrible if booth and brennan got married at the end of the series?

Stephanie said...

I really loved this episode!! It was fantastic. The end scene was so sweet, and yeah, I laughed at the "It's Bones!" too. The other hilarious moment was Sweets trying to hug Booth. I was waiting for that the moment Sweets stepped into his office.

One thing I was bothered with, though, was everyone telling Brennan not to tell Sweets what she saw. If one of my friends thought my significant other was cheating on me, I would definitely want them to tell me. So I was completely with Brennan on that argument. I think she definitely could've worded it better when she actually told Sweets, but I was glad she told him.

Oh, and yuck on the body/murder tonight. Normally, the ick factor of this show doesn't bother me too much, but it was gross tonight.

YAY FOR HODGINS!!!! I am so happy for him that he finally is doing right for himself.

Was it just me or was there almost overkill on Booth-Brennan possible relationship? I did like the excessive touching of Bones by Booth in the bridal shop, though!

It was all worth it for the final scene, though. I really thought Booth was going to kiss her! It was also nice to see a real human side to Bones for once.

alanna said...

That ending was absolutely adorable! They were so cute sitting on the couch as close as they were and I was holding my breath when she said she experienced jealousy. I thought for sure she was going to say she was jealous of Perotta. :)

Amanda said...

I agree on the body, Stephanie. Without going into too much detail, I've had to work with some pretty nasty animal carcasses in my real life, but this fake body was gross even by my standards. For a few moments I wondered if Wendell's pizza comments were going to spark any discussion among the other squints.

omg THAT ENDING! was so great. i really liked this episode... this episode and the last episode remind me of the old (season 1/2) episodes. aka SO GOOD!

i dont think the booth/bones was overkill this episode.. i thought it was just right!

and i am so excited for tomorrow's episode too! haha love the promo with bones acting all tough.

I loved how Booth was constantly touching Bones the whole show and that it was so natural. DB's performance in the office with Sweets was perfect. My husband laughed the entire time. : )

Wendy, I hope it's okay that I'm sharing this link, I'm not trying to plug the website or anything (it won't hurt my feelings or anything if you have to delete this post :) )... but to anon, who was looking for links to this episode, try: www.ch131.com ... they put up all of the episodes by the end of the night; it's where I always watch bones when I can't be home to watch it. (but they use megavideo, which has an annoying 74 minute viewing limit)

wow, thanks rebecca for the title of that song!!! I really loved it and was going to try to scour google to find it.. so you saved me a lot of trouble! it really is a great song

LOVED the elevator scene!
Booth asking Bones if they were going out and she wore an ugly dress...would she want him to tell the truth....(or something along those lines)

I am definitely watching this again...and again.

Did anyone notice that when angela was looking through the date pictures they used the same picture as a past suspect. I think that it was the guy who beat his wife in book murders.

i LOVED it.. it was a great dose of not only the new B/B, but the old too!

Anonymous said...

OMG I loved this episode too. I love Wendell, and they need to have him on more often (after all, he is the cutest intern!). B&B were just great, all the touching, Booth saying "if I were dating you and you wore a dress I didn't like...", and the last scene I thought they were going to kiss, you could really see their love for each other. The only thing which was weird, was when Booth said something along the lines of "Monogamous relationships aren't supposed to be honest" or something like that, when they were leaving the restaurant after Sweets and Daisy came in. Hmmm...

Mickey said...

@Temperance I believe the episode is available now at http://www.watchbones.org/ - however I didn't download the add-on to be sure.

thankyou mickey but thet site is no good if you downlod the add-on it has spywear

booth and bones and bickering in the beginning ....classic

I enjoyed this episode. One of my favorite parts was when Sweets was asking Booth for advice. The way Booth was imitating Sweets and Sweets imitating Booth was hilarious. Booth's facial expressions and hand movements were great. I laughed the entire scene!

Milky said...

Really nice ep... loved it. At first I was upset on her 'monogamy is unnatural' thing, considering Man in the Outhouse. But at least it was well worked through out the ep. But I loved the rest. Yay for Hodgins deciding to move on.

And the final scene was great... but felt so bad for Booth-- that guy has to be SO patient with her! Can you imagine what it's like to love someone and see her/him not being able to accept loving you back? SO frustrating!

Anonymous said...

it definitely seems that booth is pushing brennan along now, more than in the past. i was trying to think of if there was a distinct point where this switch occurred...thoughts?

gilliAHHn said...

when does the "it's Bones!" thing happen?

Mickey said...

@gilliAHHn, in the tag scene Brennan knocks on Booth's door and says "It's Bones" before he opens it.

Anonymous said...

aww this episode was great! interesting case, PLENTY of amazing B&B moments, interesting subplot (the whole daisy/sweets thing), wendell (who happens to be my fave intern!), and an EXCELLENT ending.

AND a brand new eppy tomorrow night?!

I don't know what else to say, life is pretty darn good right now!! :) :) :)

Anonymous said...

i am right there with all of you in the love for this episode, the subplot (sweets is the sweetest), wendell (also so great, i love how cheeky he is and how well he gets along with everyone. favorite intern by FAR), and the B/B moments all OVER the place. it is definitley frustrating seeing how Booth has had to be SO patient with her... that last scene reminded me of when sully left and booth was assuring her that one day, when she was ready, etc...

but the bestest thing about this episode was how intimate and personal and vulnerable and wonderful all these characters have become with each other, and for me after 4 seasons I have to say its just the loveliest thing to care so genuinely about characters on a show like I do for Bones (:

Anonymous said...

Finally, a season four episode I really liked! I can't remember when I last liked everything in an episode this season.

Nina said...

ok, so lets just map these B/B moments out:
1. sexy bickering about marriage and being called out on their 'relationship problems'
2. the excessive touching and 'you two are obviously meant for each other' in the bridal store
3. the 'if we were dating...' scenario (which already happened in vegas when they were "dating" aha-ha)
4. that ADORABLE moment in the alleyway when she put the glasses on his head
5.'its bones!'and the entire cozy last scene.

tell me if I missed something, but they have never been more couple-y.

Dani said...

i suspect the whole relationship will ramp right up between now and the end of the season, if this is anything to go by the finale should be a really awesome episode...

im even suddenly not overly worried about ep with Stewie

Anonymous said...

Like last weeks episode better but this was an ok episode with th last scene making up for fome inconsistencies. The Turin shroud thing has ben mentioned before, Booth didn't like Bons choice of drss and made her go and change it.
And what's with the the comments of Bones' human side. Bones is very human but she is ackward and doesn't know how to express deeper feelings. To open up the way she did to Booth in the last scene; admitting to be jealous, that was a BIG thing for her to do and shows how much she trusts him.
And I also think she did the right thing in telling Sweets about Daisy. I don't think I ever could forgive a friend of not telling me!

tybonium said...

I really thought this episode was great. It very much reminded me of the older seasons that I most enjoyed.

Of course all the B&B moments were awesome. I also enjoyed the "counseling" session with Booth and Sweet. I think it's a nice touch that he told Sweets that he doesn't really "hug it out", and of he is all too happy to hug Brennan when given the chance. Of course those are just "guy hugs".

Anonymous said...

Yeah all the B&B moments in this ep were great. I also liked the wendell and the post its thing.

Anonymous said...

loved the episode but not Wendell. He's the most boring intern. He's just a regular guy - we don't need that. we need someone wacky to bring out the wacky in others.

ninirific said...

i loved this one. That ending was great. They brought us back to the nice quiet and beautiful moments between B&B. Nice to see that side to Brennan. HUGE admission for her!

Rebecca said...

Great episode! Booth was especially tactile with Brennan this time, both at the wedding shop and in the bar trying to haul her away from Sweets and Daisy. I am one who likes to prolong the UST, but I was definitely disappointed when after Brennan opened her heart up all he could do was promise "some day." Sigh... Still, very cute, and very squee-worthy.

Does anyone else think Brennan owes Angela an apology for the "not so much" comment from last week? Angela totally rocked the case this episode! The writing on the cardbord, the cell phone, the tire treads, AND the return of the Angelator!

Anonymous said...

I agree that Brennan should have talked to Sweets, but she should have described what she saw Daisy doing at the bridal shop, not just said, "Daisy's having an affair," because Brennan was wrong about that.

The song at the end was beautiful, and how great that Brennan went to Booth to pour her heart out, and how hard for her to admit that she's jealous.

oh, and Wendell's new haircut is hot.

--B. Booth

Anonymous said...

Did anyone else notice how excited Booth was when it was Bones knocking at this door? His "Hi" and when Bones said she should have called and he was like "No, are you kidding me?" Ahh, he lover her!

Angelator said...

I loved the show so much! The bickering was so funny at the beginning - how could Bones not want to stop what she's doing and make out with Booth. The way he looked at her when he said, "never say never" would've melted me!

I loved the end scene so much. I laughed when Brennan yelled, "it's Bones!" I love that she's embrased the name :) I loved how Booth kept scooting close to her. And I can't believe no one has mentioned the fact that Bones drank straight from the bottle - classic!

Dani said...

hahah i totally agree.. her drinking straight from the bottle was a nice touch...

I love ED so much, she makes THE best expressions when she's playing tempe as confused and vulnerable...

it really was a great ep

Poetic_line said...

I absolutely loved this episode. You all mentioned about everything I could think of. I loved the bickering and banter that has been missing lately.

And the way Booth kept his hands on her was lovely to see. And she never once smacked him for doing it or told him he was being bossy. That is quite a change for her.

Yes, he did make her change her dress in Las Vegas, but that was for an undercover operation although, I'm sure he did it for his own benefit. She did look gorgeous in the little black dress then.

It was wonderful to see her open emotionally to him and drinking from his good scotch bottle was a complete change for her.

Great moments. One of the best episodes.

I have just started to watch this show. Really love it. This was a great episode. The two lead actors are stunningly GOOD LOOKING and excellent actors. Is the actress who plays Bones pregnant in real life? When she had the red tank top on it looked to me like she had a baby bump. She is a slender girl so it looked that way to me. Dont know too much about her.

Loved this ep - Wendell fits right in, hey he could even be Hodgins' wingman :D

Did anyone else think that the bg music during the scene where they scope out the alley behind the Champagne Lounge, was a little X-Filesy? Maybe its just me...

Double-dose of Bones this week - I could die a happy gal!

*Vodzu* said...

that epi got 8/10 from me, which is very good. Things I liked:

1. Wendel, he was my no.1 the first time he appeard and he seems to bond with the male part of the team best ( hockey with Booth, drinks with Hodgins) and hes not afraid of Cam the way Nigel_murray is :D And his comparing the victim to pizza? LOL

2. Booth being a shrink lol,, that was faboulus, and his " the session is over" just nailed it. BTW we learned that theres not such things as "guy hugs" -

Booth: "I don't hug things out. A good slug in the arm. It's the manly thing to do."

3. Hodgins was great - "The maggots are hammered" xD

4. B&B vs Sweets, how Booth is trying to stop Bren from telling Sweets about Daisy, that was funny as well.

5. Finally we see Angela doing her "magic" with her computers.

6. B&B bickering, back to good days

7. The very beginning and Booths "Doctor Burn-In-Hell" xD

aaahhh, everything was great about that epi :D

cordy said...

Woohoo, all the bickering and touching was awesome, like a real couple. I really liked this episode. And all off you have commented on the good scenes already, there's nothing else for me to add.

Anonymous said...

ah yes, I almost forgot.. they brought THE ANGELATOR back!!!! that made me sooo happy.

6 hours til another new bones! yayayay!

Anonymous said...

this episode was absolutely busting full of love, marriage, and dating stuff! i mean, the almost-double date of sweets, daisy, b&b?? ALSO i have to say the scene with daisy and sweets was so cute, he may still not be a very helpful member of the team but he's earned his own personal life and love in a big way since he's been on the show. cant wait to see him and gordon gordon tonight!

and may i point out that in this episode there was a moving on from a relationship, the working through of a current relationship, and.... the beginnings of another? i wonder what sweet's book is about...!!

Anonymous said...

hi again,
just wanted to say I was wrong about something before--Brennan did say to Sweets how she saw Daisy trying on the wedding gown. Brennan just shouldn't have jumped to the obvious conclusion. (isn't that out of character for her?)

And when I looked at the opening credits and saw Mayim Bialik's name, I realized she was playing the maid of honor--Blossom herself! That's great!

Can't wait for tonight's episode
B. Booth

To anonymous - "Is the actress who plays Bones pregnant in real life? When she had the red tank top on it looked to me like she had a baby bump."

OMG. I thought I was the only one who noticed/thought this and my friends keep telling me I'm crazy. I'm thinking it was the way her shirt was lying against her pants, but still...

I don't think anyone else has mentioned the whole "relationships aren't supposed to be honest" comment by Booth when he and Brennan left the restaurant after Daisy and Sweets came in. I just have a bad feeling about that, and wanted to know what you thought? Foreshadowing of something bad in the B&B relationship...

Hi bones fans
I enjoyed this episode, I think the whole cast done a great job even sweets who I am not the biggest fan of. I love Wendell as the intern he seems to fit the little brother mode and got out and about with bones. Cam once again was quite funny in her facial expressions and angela and hodgins are back to their best.
The case was quite good and booth's protective nature towards Bones was all out there but I think he needs to get his feeling off his chest and tell someone how he feels despite the fact that everyone knows, coz he is human and it must be killing him. Bones was good and like the rest of you I found her acceptance of her nickname quite funny. To anon and alanna above I never noticed the bump will check it in the morning as I need to keep my time limit on the net to watch mayhem and if Emily is pregnant then great I dont want to see bones come to an end and I dont think it would but I have come to respect these actors greatly and something as magical as a baby happening to them I am all for. PS can I just congratulate David and his wife on the fact that they are going to have another. PS sorry I know this has nothing to do with the discussion.

i was hoping someone would mention the fact that Brennan not only let wendell come out onto the field with her, but undo her necklace. i agree that he's not the quirkiest but its really cool that even bones is totally chill with wendell. i dont think she would be like that with the other interns.

also i just love the women on this show- anglea, cam and bones are so strong and brilliant. i love when its just the three of them in a scene like with the angelator, reacting to the car was really fun.

and the case and the killer were all really clever.

Sammy said...

This episode is what Bones is all about! Loved it, I felt nearly every emotion in this ep.

gilliAHHn said...

thanks mickey!!
i loved it when wendell and brennan are out examining the car, and she asks him to take off her necklace b/c her measuring tape was gone and had a post it from a egyptology(is that right?) department...ROTFLMAO!!!!!!

Angela does believe in love & that is transcendent but doesn't believe it is eternal, see skull in the sculpture when she says that "...nothing is permanent, that is just a fact..."

Anonymous said...

I think that Brennan is more revealing herself than really changing.
You can see in Boneless, when staring with tears in her eyes at the wedding picture Angela draw, that she already wanted to find someone for the rest of her life. Brennan is just afraid to fall in love & get hurt when it ends because she doesn't believe it will last (two bodies in the book : "the odds are not in favor of lasting relationships" / Glowing Bones : her second talk with Angela / & of course the fact that science says it's not supposed to last).
I think that deep down Brennan has always dreamed of an everlasting relationship but doesn't believe it exists so she keeps herself from falling in love.
So I don't think she suddenly decided she wants to believe in everlasting love, I think she just confessed out loud what she has always felt.

It's too bad a lot of people don't re-watch boneless & 2 bodies because of Sully. I like the epi with Sully since we learn a lot & it is nice to see Brennan happy with a man & rather spend time with him than work.
Just my POV. Not my native language.

Back from Italy! Was amazing but sadly no Bones in Italian :( I did see a marble Roman bust of a guy who looked a lot like T.J. Thyne though.

This was a great episode. , Good case, sympathy(yay!), there was less goofiness and I absolutely loved the B/B moments, especially the ending. The bickering was classic and I'm glad that Brennan is opening up even more to Booth. I took Booth's 'relationships aren't meant to be honest' line as just him trying to get her to shut up and drop the matter, I don't think he was serious. The elevator scene was great too and their physical closeness - *squeee!*

And eeew about the body, that was definitely in the top ickiest list. Wendell was great in this one though, he interacts with everyone so well and I loved the scene where they scraped the body off and he rambled about it being like pizza.

I felt so sorry for Sweets in this one. Loved the office scene with Booth and Sweets and the fact that they switched roles with Booth being all psychologist-like. DB looked cute and Sweets trying for a hug was so funny.

It's good that Hodgins is trying to move on but I like that they're showing that he probably can't, not really. Hoping for more Hodgins/Angela moments.

And they brought the Angelator back - woop!

Off to watch Mayhem now.

Chenoa said...

Loved Wendell trying to give Hodgins real social interaction :) And yet, I was rooting for Hodgela to get together and have a drink or two and chat!! :D
Noticed that "Jim Pelota" made an appearance around the 35th minute - in my defense, I have an extremely visual memory and remember faces very well - even from TV :D

Also, I expect that the next few episodes are going to see Booth and Brennan get closer and closer till the finale! And I just read that the love scene has been filmed!! My head is going to be in the gutter all weekend!
