David Boreanaz to face his fears...or not

Just stop reading this post now if you don't want even the tiniest spoiler, like a shooting location. (I don't really consider these spoilers. Would it really tell you anything about say, "The Man in the Mud" to know they went to the woods to shoot a scene?)

Either way, you were warned!

...

So, apparently, there will be an episode this fall that takes place at a chicken farm. Emily Deschanel is happy about this so that, similar to the dog fighting episode, viewers can be exposed to the realities of such a location and reconsider their reliance on chicken as food.

David Boreanaz...not so much.

Bones star David Boreanaz is threatening to exercise his power as a producer by skipping an episode later this fall that centers on a major phobia of his. “Are you kidding me?” David exclaimed, when I told him that series creator Hart Hanson is planning for his character, Seeley Booth, and Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) to investigate a death at a chicken farm. “This is like some kind of bad joke,” says the actor, who has a lifelong fear of birds. “Hart can play that game, but I’m going to kill him…. I just won’t show up. I hate birds. They freak me out. It’s more roosters that I’m fearful of, but I’m not crazy about chickens, either.”
But, Hart has been around David Boreanaz long enough to know what he can and can't get away with. From his twitter:
After all these years working with DB I know better than to put him on a chicken farm. We're clever that way.

yeah I'm with David too LOL, Birds terrify me!!
There is a HH tweet that says "After all these years working with DB I know better than to put him on a chicken farm. We're clever that way." So they are gonna work around it for him.

this sounds like its gonna be a funny ep, theyll probs just have booth afraid of chickens too or something(not bagging people being afriad of chickens/any birds)

Again I get a hilarious vision of David being chased by a bunch of flapping, clucking chickens. Hee!

I do feel a bit sorry for him though, if someone decided to stick me in some sort of spider sanctuary I would have to kill them.

But come on, David! You played the most badass vampire in history, you can't let a couple of chickens get teh better of you!

Well I know it's not something we can chose and I'm not laughting at it, but ......OMG that is such a girly and childish kindof phobia for him hahaha chicken haha that is actually very cute!!

I hope Booth has the same phobia too, that would be so much fun and David wouldnt need to pretend he is OK with those cute birdies haha.

I don't understand the fear of birds but I do know they can be irritating with the flapping. Especially low-flying pigeons in the city - I hate those.

Another lame brain plot by HH. I really hope David gets pissed and doesn't show up. Just wonder if HH would do this if Emily wasn't so much for it? We now know which actor has most of the say on this show. They better be careful because the majority of the viewers of this show are women and they watch it for one reason and that reason is David Boreanaz.

You got that right @Lucy, but com'on how bad will that be... He probably wont be asked to lay down in a room full of roosters, with corn all around him(haha)... I guess he wont even be asked to touch one of those animals, and since they do not attack people, I think he will survive that episode.(Thanks god xD )

Hart did say 'After all these years working with DB I know better than to put him on a chicken farm. We're clever that way.'

They'll probably do this in a way that will involve the least amount of contact with chickens.

Set the entire story in DC without ever setting foot there, I am sure they can do the same thing with a chicken farm....

As someone with an irrational fear who was ragged about it all week, think this is one of the funniest posts I've ever read.

This'll probably be 'Tough Man in the Tender Chicken'.

Ironic, really, that the Cocky belt buckle had a bird on it!
