David Boreanaz talks about the Buffy Movie

Thanks, Erin, for sending me this link. MTV asked David Boreanaz about all those Buffy movie rumors and whether he would be willing to revisit the role. Most of you know, he does not like to talk about this, at all, and, despite that, he seemed very gracious in his replies.

I don't think he doesn't want to talk about it. Let's be real here. Angel is forever 27 and David just turned 40 (not that he looks it). I highly doubt SMG would be willing to do it either. The characters and stories will stay with us forever but you have to allow the actors to move on. They are real people!!!! Who else wants to relive their lives 10 years ago?

Yeah, I thought he was just being nice to the interviewer because she was so young. Or maybe Baby #2 has mellowed him more.

As with all things, there must be balance. The show did open the door for his career, so yes I am thinking he needs to acknowledged that by being gracious 'sometimes'/

On the other hand, he has to be a bit of a jerk (or allow his publicist to eb) to set up the right expectation with some of these reporters, otherwise they would be asking him the same inane questions about a show he had done 10 years ago....in every interview.

We have to remember, these folks are human too...and I it would annoy the hell out of me too if people kept asking me about something I did back in high school

I cant help but think its a large part of the problem Daniel Radclifee must have with Harry Potter-- such an enormous part of his life playing this one character, guy needs some separation after that, you know? Thats a lot of time playing one character, which then everyone knows so very well... and hes in the middle of shedding that, right now, by playing Booth so sophisticatedly. So any angel talk at this point in his career would then call up comparisons, maybe, re-connect him with that character... reluctance makes so much sense
