Welcome to the world, Bardot Vita Boreanaz

David Boreanaz can relax (momentarily) - yesterday his wife Jaime delivered their 2nd child, Bardot Vita Boreanaz. She weighed in at 7lb 14oz and joins older brother Jaden in the household. Congratulations to the family!

Congratulations!

But is that a common first name?

Wendy said...

No, it is definitely not.

Congrats to them!

Maybe it has something to do with Brigitte Bardot? And Vita because DB is italian? It certainly is an unusual name...But kinda interesting.

Congratulations to them!

Not sure what to make of the first name, rather unusual, but 'vita' means life in Italian, so that's nice! :)

Yuck on the name (though I'm curious about why they chose it,) but I'm glad everyone's healthy! I was a little worried when I read those articles that said Jamie was having a hard pregnancy. Congrats to David and family!

"Spoke to David on the phone. He is overwhelmed by your kind thoughts and good wishes for him and his family. He says 'THANKS!' "

Question to fellow fans from France:

Is it right that "bardot" means mule/burro in french?

Wendy said...

If I remember correctly, David has a love for all things old Hollywood. If I had to guess, that would be where I think the name comes from.

cordy said...

Yeah I thought so as well. But nontheless if it's true you have to admit this is a strange double meaning even more since it's used as her first name.

What, they couldn't use Brigette? Ah, well, everyone's healthy and happy and that's all the really matters. A hearty congratulations to both of them.

Petit Chat said...

Bardot = hinny = a domestic equine hybrid which is the offspring of a male horse and a female donkey.

cordy said...

Thanks a lot Petit Chat.

Weird, very weird. But as long as tehy are all happy about it.

Bardot is also an italian wine, it's like name your child Champagne or Pinot.

Yuck!

Ha! At least she'll age well...

OMG! Thanks Petit for the explanation.

Do the Boreanaz know that it's like naming your child Mule??

Well, the name is better than "Apple"and I think it is growing on me--congrats to the new member of the family!!

You guys are kinda mean.

All that matters is that the baby and Jaime is healthy.

Instead of focusing on a name, how about remembering that we are talking about a new life
