I guess it's a good thing that Bones always jumps in the 2nd half hour (though, to those people I say "Just start with Bones, mkay?") - could always be FlashForward and dropping 1/2 a mil!

I think a better question is why almost 2 million more people are watching TV at 8:30 than at 8:00 pm.
Any guesses?
and why people are still watching survivor?????
smth a bit irrelevant:
does anyone know if Emily's movie "That Night" is available anywhere (blockbuster/amazon/ebay...) ??
sorry for posting this here, but maybe Wendy can start a new post. I just wanted people to know that Bones is featured in the Best of 2009 poll at tv.com in "Cast You'd Want On Your Case" and "Coolest Technology"

Kate, I have no idea if this is right, but I think the ratings jump in the second half-hour might be because a lot of people with DVRs wait 20-25 minutes before starting a show. Why? Because if you start watching at 8:20 instead of 8, you can skip commercials all the way through and still be done with the show around the same time. I've been known to do this before. Having a DVR just kills your patience for live TV.
leeloo, I wish Emily's "That Night" was available somewhere, but I've been looking everywhere and can't find it. It was a short film (not feature-length) and played at film festivals, and those sadly don't often get released to the general public.
@stephanie:
oh that's a pitty :(
i was hoping that it would be available in the states, since it can't be found in europe
