Hitler rants about Bones! Thanks, forensicduck, for creating this great video.

This is NOT funny.

I agree. Using Hitler to make a point is always an EXTREMELY bad idea. I'm offended you would post this Wendy

I agree too. Very bad idea to post video with Hitler.

Seriously? Sure, that's not the historical figure I would have picked. Maybe have JFK ranting about it or something but, seriously?

And HH sure thought highly enough of it to post it to his twitter...

I'm NOT offended in the slightest, Wendy. It's not all that funny in my opinion - but hey, each to their own, right?

Come on people...don't take life so seriously! :)

I just learned it's a big internet meme, a la lolcats, to do this. It's always this scene. There are a ton of them, on topics like Leno vs Conan, Kanye vs Taylor Swift, and so many more. I had no idea when I posted it.

Thanks, most recent Anon :)

I laughed when I saw it the first time somewhere else. I still think it is funny.
It is a spoof -- on the BONES finale and backlash from so many fans. That is all.
And a funny one.
Like any joke, some people think it's funny and some people don't.
That is all.
No reason to jump on Wendy. :)

Yeah, there's a million versions of this clip each with its own humorous subtitles. There's even one about the difficulty finding parking in Tel Aviv. I'm surprised the three Anons are unfamiliar with it.

Personally, I think the videos in general reduce Hitler to a pathetic characture--which I imagine would bother him quite a lot--and that's hard to find offensive.

At any rate, I found the subtitles extremely funny. Humor is subjective, no?

*Caricature* not characture. Sorry I forgot to spell-check.

Great point, Kate!

I´m not offended. It´s just a spoof. I´ve seen a lot of videos making fun of Hitler about a million things like we did here in Spain about Franco the dictator. Don´t go so heavy on Wendy. I found the video really funny

I don't think anyone who ever makes one of these videos intends to make light of the horrific crimes against humanity that Hitler perpetrated. As Kate said, it makes him into a caricature, which is one form of modern justice and would absolutely infuriate the man.

From the director of the movie which this footage is taken from:

The film's director, Oliver Hirschbiegel, spoke positively about these parodies in a 2010 interview with New York magazine, saying that many of them were funny and they were a fitting extension of the film's purpose: "The point of the film was to kick these terrible people off the throne that made them demons, making them real and their actions into reality. I think it's only fair if now it's taken as part of our history, and used for whatever purposes people like."

I think it's extremely funny. Unfortunately understanding some German made the fun less..

And I also believe it's historical justice. ;-)

On top of that I think it helps us to remind how crazy men can become and next time we will see on TV a dictator with a similar attitude (yes in some parts of the world they are still there) we will recognise populism and ego delirium instead of believing their farneticating words.

It's hilarious. There are different kinds of humour. Some is nice and cute or silly like the crazy cat videos on YouTube. However, this is a clever, witty satire and it's not supposed to be "nice". It makes fun of the little man and how he becomes demented about an imaginary TV love story just like blew evil out of all proportion in his quest to create his demented imaginary world.
Also, of course, it pokes fun of us... and why not. Don't any of you think now and again, "I must be crazy to be watching this show over and over again on my computer/TV". And then smile and think a la Lord of the Rings, "No, no I can never live without my precious." I thought so!
