There was no Survivor this week, and the ratings were basically flat. This entire final 8 episode arc has been a big ratings failure.

But finally, the ratings of the season 5 are the best of all the seasons of bones so... it was a good year for Bones...

Keep in mind- total viewers aren't important- it is the 18-49 demo and Bones was up versus the last few weeks in that area to a 2.8. The ratings were the highest right before the big break in February though- I think part of that has to do with more people watching TV in the winter because of the weather and less daylight. Bones was very solid this year- not a ratings powerhouse but stable nonetheless.

HH has been looking for the 3.0 share, and missed out again. Although I was one of the (seemingly few) who liked the finale for the most part (except there needed to be a hug at the end), I suspect the 2.9 is unfortunately going to be the high water mark for Bones.

Back in January and Feb, the show's ratings exceeded 12.5 Million viewers when Survivor was in Hiatus. If you look at the last 8 episodes, the 100 episode was the only one to crack 10 Million viewers.

Everyone keeps saying the ratings are great, but I'm sorry 9.7 Million is disappointing in a night where Survivor is absent and you had other shows showing repeats (Mentalist and Smallville)

No matter how they spin it, the ratings for this episode were mediocre at best. No Survivor and two reruns and this all they drew? Wait until September when they have real competition. I thought that the uproar over last year's final was bad, but this tops it big time.

I'm so happy that the shows doing so good...I wish they would've hugged or kissed last night. I'm gonna go crazy for the next 4 months.
