Fox has released a "Retro Music Video". It sure deserves its name because it seems like all old footage from previous seasons to me.
But let's enjoy what we are given! Counting down the days...
Three film students interviewed Barry Josephson about his career and his film Aliens in the Attic.
You can find the whole interview here.
A few Bones references can be found around 9:44 until 10:54, but the whole video is definitely worth watching! Spoiler-free.

They've been talking about it for a couple seasons, and it looks like they have a confirmed slot for Emily Deschanel's chance to direct an upcoming episode of Bones.
See the full story here at GiveMeMyRemote including a short video. The article and video are spoiler free.
During the BONES panel at
Comic-Conin 2009, series star Emily Deschanel revealed that she really wanted the chance to direct an episode of the show — but creator Hart Hanson was wary of the idea, since Deschanel already works crazy hours.
It seems, however, that her persistence has paid off.
...she’ll be shooting her episode in January, right after the BONES crew comes back from their holiday break.
Thanks, Micki, for the tip!
Happy Birthday, Mr. Hanson! All of us at Obsessed With Bones wish you a wonderful birthday.

Another find for a forensic anthropologist:
A forensic anthropologist in Madison is working to determine what kind of remains were found near Antigo Monday morning. A construction crew found bones and some material at a site four miles west of the city. They were working on the foundation of a new home Monday morning. The anthropologist is working to determine whether the remains are human. If they are she'll likely be able to determine the race and how long the person has been deceased. The whole article can be found here.
Anyone that follows Hart Hanson on Twitter knows how much he loves his FJ40.
It looks like we may get to see it in higher definition than a twitpic!
The cast and crew were back at it today, and we've been given a little recap courtesy of Zap 2 It. It includes some spoilers about the team's return. Here are some of the spoiler-free bits:
Yes, "Bones" is officially in production, and cast and crew giddily tweeted about the start of season 6 throughout their first day. And the recurring theme? These guys really get a kick out of each other.Doesn't it sound like a fun place to work?
Creator and show-runner Hart Hanson might have been the most excited: "FIRST DAY OF SHOOTING, SEASON 6, "BONES"! (You can tell I'm excited by the capital letters. Or crazy.) DB already made me snort coffee."
He was quick to follow up that the snorting was laughter-induced -- something T.J. Thyne (aka Dr. Jack Hodgins) picked up on it as well: "The laughter on stage 6 is already audible across the lot to HOUSE. We are home. and oooo do we have good scenes for ya!!"
So is all of this lightheartedness a reflection of what we'll be seeing on the season premiere? We can only hope.

We are slowly inching our way towards the new season. So, due to popular demand, another question regarding favorite quotes. This time we are looking at season 4.
What's your favorite season 4 quote/moment?
Buddy TV has a list of TV's 10 Dumbest Hot Cops. Seeley Booth makes the list. Before we get too upset, let's see why they deemed him worthy:
Technically, Booth isn’t a cop, he’s a special agent, and he’s not that dumb, just intuitive. But since he’s surrounded by the squints, Booth’s lack of book smarts sticks out like one of his belt buckles. Is this just another representation of Angela's assessment that he is "brilliant at pretending to be stupider than he actually is most of the time"?

Since no one got the complete answer to last week's King of the Lab question (SO close, though!), I'll be a little nicer this week.
How many times in Season 1 does someone say, "I don't know what that means" or a very close variation?
If there are discrepancies against our numbers, your answers may need to be clarified.
Best of luck, and leave your name if you want credit!

Will the September 23 premiere be one full year post-finale? When is the team getting back together? Will we see any in between?
Ausiello gives us a new scoop to fill in some blanks.
And a little more background on what the trouble is can be found here from TV Guide.

I wasn’t sure how to go about this review. I had seen the episode recently and I didn’t know how I should start it. I knew what happened in the episode, but nothing special came to mind. So I started re-watching it, and BAM ! I KNEW !!! What is really fun in this episode are all the little sentences the characters send to each other' face, the little "picks" as we would say in French, as well as their acting. GREAT ACTING, really ! So this will be a short review with a lot of little sentences that I found quite funny.
After further examination, they discover that the man had "brittle bones" or "Osteogenesis Imperfecta" (more on that here http://www.brittlebone.org/
Brennan and Booth go meet him at the construction site, and they explain what happen for our benefit : Pete came to meet Larry to ask him where the money is, but because he had just received the phone call from his wives, he blows him off. Pete is not too happy about that, so they start fighting. Larry hits Pete who looses his crown (hum ... if you lose your crown that easily, it's time to find another dentist !), Pete hits him back. Larry lands on the socket casing, and even though he didn't land hard, because of his brittle bone condition, it killed him. That's an accident. But, people being people, instead of calling the police to report it, Pete tries to cover it up by staging the scene as if Larry had committed suicide. Then the wives come in and put Larry in the tub, case solved !
You can see the regrets, but you can also see the joy of him knowing that she'll always be there for him no matter what. That's relation number one.
Number 2: After the case is solved, Brennan asked how it ended with Rebecca. Booth explains that the only time they'll spend together is with Parker. Then "You know what Bones, it might be all anthropology to you, but there are certain people that you just can't sleep with. I mean you can pretend that it's just sex. You can lie to yourself and you could say that it's all good. But there's too many strings and too much at stake, you know? Too much to lose. And while saying that, they just keep looking at each other ... awwwwwwww Brennan answers "Yeah I can see that" look, look, look !
Booth: It's over. I'd appreciate, you know, your support in that. look, look, look !
Booth: Thank you. But I'm mean it's not like I'm gonna ...
Brennan: No I mean with anybody. I'm sure Rebecca is not your only option for satisfying biological urges (this look means : Am I an option ? )
Brennan: Common drain declogger, acid wash, bleach. Submerged two to three days.
Now, that "anthropological inevitabilities" is pretty hard to spell and he says it very fast. They must have had fun shooting that scene !
Angela: Oh ...
Brennan: And I've got Lawrence Seaver, 35.
Brennan: Commercial electrician.
Booth: I think old Larry's got two wives.
Gayle: I'm sorry?
Brennan: What Agent Booth is trying to say is that your husbandS, Larry, are the same Larry.
Booth: This will help. A little show and tell (and he gives each wive the picture of the other one with their child posing with Larry)
Booth: Actually, it's not ...
Lila (who gets up): My Larry would never ...
Lila (yelling): Yes, my Larry..
Hodgins: I thought you were half-Chinese.
Angela: And I think you're half-Swedish. Let's hear some Swedish !
Booth: No, no, keep talking, I'll catch up (Cute !)
Booth: So, now we're talking about a faked homicide to cover up a faked suicide?
Booth: Just when you think things couldn't get any more twisted ...
Hummmmmmmmmmm cuties !

What was the most surprising case twist ever for you?
Um, aside from the whole Gormagon thing.
Bickering like kids like always and that's why we love them ! Even though I won't do a scene by scene review, I described this one because I liked it ^_^. Let's move on.
look at geeky Hodgins
...they're still not sure if Richardson did it or not. They did find what looked like foetus phalanges in the water, but it turned out to be racoon's phalanges. The samples that Hodgins took don't match the ones that were taken from the remains. The only other fresh water is more than 60 miles away, doesn't match the timeline, so more proof that Richardson may not have done it. Cam is really NOT happy that they are finding more and more evidence that Richardson may not be guilty, even though she says that she's trying to find out who killed Carlie. Brennan says that they have to determine whether or not they're wasting their time on Richardson, which leads to a funny experiment.
They go to the Rancocas Creek and they find a bag with the initial C.R. containing face cream and a nightgown... Seems like Carlie wasn't abducted after all. Did Karen befriend her and then kill her ? Booth and Brennan go see Carlie's friends again to check. That's where they learn that Carlie wished she wasn't pregnant. One of the friends confirms that she saw Carlie and Karen together (Carlie and Karen, Karen and Carlie ! Sounds like mister Richardson likes his women's names to start with the sound "CAR" however you spell it ^_^) Hum Karen is becoming more and more suspicious. Unfortunately, the DNA found under Carlie's fingernails isn't Karen's. Man ! Who killed that woman if not Karen or Kyle ?
Since they have the baby's skull, they can use it to see genetics similarities with the mother. Hodgins finds out that Betadine (an antiseptic used to prep patients for surgery) was used to remove the child from the womb. That, coupled with the Angelator's portrait of the child that has similarities with one of Carlie's friends gives us the murderer. Miss Corbis, the woman who said that she saw Carlie and Karen together is a vet, she has medical training, the marks on the bones were from a scalpel, there you have it folks ! She killed Carlie because Carlie had told her that she wished that she had never gotten pregnant, and according to Miss Corbis "It was wrong for her (Carlie) to have him". She had killed her son by mistake because she was a single mother, because she was alone and because she just wanted him to stop crying. (People don't always know that shaking a child is dangerous for them, I know that, but please ! Don't say that you did it because you're a single mom miss Corbis ! Plenty of women are single moms and they manage just fine !)
Anyway, case solved ! It wasn't the husband after all !
The Squints : I already talked about the stabbing of the pretend victim (you should really check it out !), of geeky Hodgins and of the Angelator. The only other thing thing I'd like to say about the Jeffersonian's team in that episode is that it is fun to see an episode where Brennan, the squints and Cam are still at odds. The beginning especially is edifying ! Brennan saying that the bones are hers and that Cam may compromise them, that Zach is HER grad student, she's really acting like a child ! And then Cam saying sarcastically "I have the utmost respect for the Doc. Glad she works for me." You can just feel the tension ! Cam saying that she wants them to wrap up the case so she can go play poker doesn't help her fit in in the least ! I'm happy that they are a real team now, it would have been weird if they were not !
She appears mean in that moment and what she says shocks and hurts Booth.
How could she prevent her to see his own son ? Bitc.. (I didn't say it !) Fortunately, all is well that ends well. At the end of the episode, they all (Booth, Rebecca, Drew and Parker) sit together, what a nice family picture !
Plus, Booth being such a good dad, he's the one who tells a scared Kyle Richardson that he has to "step up" and take care of his son. Mr Richardson indeed rise up to the occasion and holds his son, the way he does it brings tears to my eyes. I'm oversensitive, what do you want. I wish that was the end of the episode it's so powerful ! I don't really get the little fight that takes place at the Royal Diner between Booth and Rebecca, but since it ends wells, I'm ok with it.
