Today's Chatter Post - July 22th, 2010

Remember, only 2 rules:

  • Keep it clean
  • No spoilers
You may have heard that Michaela got cast in the movie "The Lincoln Lawyer" which is currently filming. So today's question is:

What are your other favorite works of the actors on Bones?
(Thanks for coming up with that one, Mindy! :-))

Obviously David Boreanaz and his acting on Angel was my favorite work before he starred in Bones. TJ Thyne had a small appearance in the later seasons of Angel and he also had a role in Erin Brokavitch. But otherwise, I hadn't seen him anything else. As for the other actors-Tamara Tayler, Michaela Conlin and John Francis Daley, I hadn't seen them in any roles prior to Bones-unfortunately because they are awesome actors!
.
(I know Emily Deschanel had small roles in "It Could Happen to You" and "Spiderman !!" but they
were so small that I don't remember her!
I never saw "Rose Red" or "Gloryroad", but I plan to check them out. (I know that she had other roles, but Bones was the first time that I saw her and thought that she was and is a stupendous actress.

Yay for Michaela!

Didn't Angela make a comment about Matthew McConaughey in one of the episodes? Now she is in a movie with him! :)

Unfortunately I have not seen the others in anything other than a few episodes of Buffy and Angel, although I heard of John Francis Daley.

Yes, Boreanaz is great on Buffy and Angel. I'm curious about the movie he is in that is coming out sometime soon as the husband of a woman who coaches the hockey team for a private girl's school or something. Looks interesting.

And JFD is one of the leads on the short-lived but much loved Freaks and Geeks. I watched the one season recently - after knowing JFD as Sweets - and really enjoyed him in it. Highly recommended. I feel like I have seen TJ Thyne as a guest appearance in a few things and am always delighted by it.

Oh, I didn't know that about Michaela!! That's awesome!

I have Emily's "Rose Red" and "Glory Road" on DVD. Her role in "Glory Road" isn't too big, but I think she's pretty great in it (and obviously one of the producers agreed since they sent her to audition for Bones!) and I watched Rose Red (a 4.5 hour miniseries) in one sitting. Some of her short films that are on YouTube are pretty cool, too.

I love Enchanted, though I'm not sure if that counts since Michaela's mostly in the deleted scenes. TJ's guest spots on Friends and Charmed (former favorite shows of mine) were both pretty fun. According to IMDB, I've seen Tamara in a few guest spots on TV, too, but since I didn't know who she was then, I don't remember her!

I recently watched John Francis Daley's short-lived series "Kitchen Confidential," but I wasn't really a fan of it, despite it having a very recognizable cast. Freaks & Geeks is on my Netflix list, but I haven't had the chance to watch it yet, and I don't think I've ever seen Eric or David in anything other than Bones.

Okay, so These Girls will never make the top 100 movies of all times list, but David Boreanaz was pretty funny nonetheless.

Oh my goodness, just started watching Buffy, and I adore David Boreanaz as Angel. Got to love Netflix streaming! And John Francis Daley as Sam Weir is genius.
What was Emily Deschanel in Spiderman? Wasn't TJ Thyne the doctor who was "too young" to deliver Rachel's baby on FRIENDS?

Jess - Emily was the receptionist at the very, very beginning of Spiderman 2 who refused to pay for the pizzas Peter delivered because he was, like, two minutes late. And you're right on TJ's Friends role, but you've got the wrong Friend. TJ was in their 100th episode where Phoebe had the triplets. I watched it the other night just to see him!
