One week in a little french island (Oléron), another week in south west of france (in the Basque Country, for those who know...!) and a week in Barcelona. I'm going to work at home, to prepare my classes for next curse (i'm a histoty teacher). So i'm occupied, good thing, because time is hard without Bones... very hard...

The whole summer close to home in the North West of Spain, having a break before next school year, with new pupils, new teacher colleagues, etc. Cinema, reading, picnics, fiestas, beaches, sun and peace without 30 kids screaming to my ears every hour. I understand you, history teacher, time is hard without bones but having a good summer makes it less painful.

I feel like my summer has been going on *forever* since my school ended very early in May, but so far, I've been to Disney World and then went to my parents' house. While I was there, I dragged my sister to a She & Him concert, so that was the highlight of my summer. I scheduled my trip home to line up with Zooey's concert because I just HAD to see her, so that day was definitely the highlight of my summer, haha.

Now my family's due to arrive at mine & my grandma's house in Florida on Friday! I'm excited, so I hope it ends up being fun.

I'm heading to Italy next week! Visiting Rome and Cinque Terre. Other than that, I have been interviewing (I just finished grad school) and working part time! And of course, hanging out at the pool and catching up on my shows! I recently got into Parenthood...

Wow! Lots of teachers and travelers are BONES fans. Cool.

Or rather ... HOT HOT HOT. I am outside DC in our 3 digit heat wave and packing up to move to a new apt this Friday.

It will be worth it (when it's over) because Sat I fly outta this heat to the mtns in NC for a week long writers retreat. ahhhhh....

But, like folks are saying, being busy sure helps the hiatus go faster.

I was hoping to go to Italy (envious of you, Robyn) for the summer, but sadly, don't think I'll make it because my office here in the UK (I work as a Communications Specialist for a global NGO) is restructuring and has made my entire team redundant (lay off in North American speak).

Good news is that I also just got offered a more exciting and better job with our US headquarters in Seattle!!!

So, I'll be spending the rest of my summer preparing for our big trans-Atlantic/trans-American move. Can't wait to arrive in time to watch Bones live on Fox instead of waiting with the rest of the world to watch it later!

Boring, just working at the moment, and re watching Bones DVD's (of course). Off to Turkey for 2 weeks though at the end of August for a much needed holiday.

Also cursing the fact that here in the UK we have to wait even longer for season 6 to start.

Very interesting hearing about everyone's summer and travels. I'm putting in long hours at work (assistant controller in accounting office), but my daughter and I are heading to Destin for a week on the beach the first week in August. It's been very hot here in Tennessee, but I actually love summer the best. Watching reruns of Bones, going to Nashville Sounds baseball games, family get togethers, and long drives in my convertible.
