A glimpse of character to come

Ausiello has put out a picture for us to see a "first meeting" of two characters along with a little explanation of what to (and what not to) expect in our first few episodes this season.

Spoiler warning!!

Thanks, Deborah, for the link!

That is not a flattering picture of Bones. And, I really can't see myself ever loving the Hannah character. Just my two cents. I agree with the comment that said we go to TV to escape. I don't need more angst from my favorite show. I have enough in real life. SN said this isn't high school. Well, get B & B together and let us watch them work through their problems (because yes, there will be plenty) like grown-ups.

Well said Anon and yes this is not high school

I love how the article talks about how it isn't high school, so everyone on the show is going to act like adults, and then the first big block of comments is people having an immature Bones vs. House fight, haha.

I'm glad they're not going the jealousy/catfight route. I feel like I kind of don't care if B&B get together or not anymore, so I'm not really worried about the new girl, but like some of the other commenters on the EW site, I think I'm most concerned about this storyline making me dislike Booth.

Hey Mindy, sorry about putting the link on the other post. I forgot all about it being a spoiler for other people!
By the way, I kind of like Hannah. I bet she'll make Booth happy. I'm not sure I'll hate her, but like Stephanie said, I really don't want to dislike Booth because of her. I hope Parker doesn't like her as much as he likes Bones...

@Stephanie, I'm confused. Why would you begin to dislike Booth if you don't care if BB get together or not? Just asking!!! I am like you. I really don't care anymore. I did, but knowing HH like we all do, and his obsession on keeping BB apart and by his own words that this show could go for 8 years, he is actually being honest for the first time and telling all of us" Don't hold your breath". I read something that he said something about them getting 10 million viewers. Boy he is really getting delusional and dreaming.

@Anon #3 - You know Bones averages about 10 million viewers right now, right? The season averages for both Season 4 and 5 were slightly over 10 million. Hart's not being delusional at all when he says that.

I feel like this storyline could end up being inconsistent with Booth's established character, depending on how they spin it. If he just likes Hannah and is more dating her because he wants to make Brennan question her decision (as David said in a recent interview,) that's kinda jerky and not the Booth we know. But if he really loves Hannah and started this serious thing with her so soon after telling Brennan he just *knew* with her, I think that's also a bit out-of-character, plus then Brennan could potentially end up thinking that she's right and feelings are ephemeral, and if he really can move on so quickly, she can't count on him to still love her in 30+ years.

I think these writers are very good, and I'm sure they'll figure out a way to do the storyline well, but I guess my worry is that it's going to seem out-of-character for Booth and therefore, make me dislike him. But we'll see! We don't really know much yet. :)

No offense but how could anyone dislike Booth?!

To the poster who stated that Bones averages 10 million fans a week. You are WRONG dead WRONG. I follow these things closely and you gave out wrong information. There average is in the 8 to 8 1/2 million range. So I agree with a previous poster who says that Hanson is delusional.
