What do you think of the Season 6 poster?
love the socks!
i love the skeleton hands!
Extremely cute poster, but I am not crazzyy about the dress. The top half is alright but the frills aren't. Also Emily's hair could look better. I absolutely love the way she had it in the first season 6 promo and at the 2010 Fox Upfronts party (short, straight, with bangs) , but personally I find that having the curls makes it a bit too voluminous. I'm not saying Emily looks bad, she looks fantastic no matter what she wears, but she doesn't look quite as stunning, in terms of clothes and hair as she normally does. In terms of face and smile she is more beautiful than ever! David looks fiine as usual. Feeling a bit down right now because this is the first bit of critique I have ever given Emily! Soo excited for season 6! B&B FOREVER!!!! :)
I think they both look very retouched, which makes it feel a little off to me. Not bad, but...off. I love the skeleton hands, though, and I don't really understand all the hate against Emily's look (not on this website, but on Ausiello's and others.) She probably didn't have much of a choice in the matter, and aside from the obvious air brushing, I think she looks cute. I think she wore that dress (or one very close to it) during some on-set interviews, and maybe during the show as well, last season.
@StephanieReading your comment has made me agree that Emily had almost no say in what she whad to wear, so I'd like to redirect my previous critique to the stylist who chose Emily's dress, not to her! And yes, they look very retouched! :)
Going at this from a completely different angle, but I'm a photographer, so what can I do but evaluate a photograph for its merits as a photograph, rather than wardrobe or whatnot.Love the lighting, I'm thinking a single source, probably a beauty dish, dead centre, around eye-level or slightly above. The only thing that has me hesitating is the lack of fall-off near their feet (speaking of feet, LOVE those socks :D I have socks like them!). Reverse engineering light setups has never been my strong point. I'm curious as to where people see retouching? I don't really get that vibe from most of the photo, except David's camera-right pant leg, which has obviously been airbrushed or clone-brushed, Emily's camera-left leg (the shadow on the front doesn't follow where the bones should be), and possibly Emily's bare arm, which has a bizarre lack of a wrist, at least to me (then again, I have really boney wrists). I'd have to see higher-res to see if they've been given "photoshop botox", though I suspect there's been some.
Emily looks very hot, the dress is extremely attractive. I'll tell ya, she makes size 8 look good.
Creepy but cool!
